Newly renovated 1920 built house. Sunny backyard with fruit trees. New queen size bed with attached private bath. Walking distance to Public transits. Minutes away to Mission-Dolores, unique shops, downtown, airport, etc.

The Space

The guest room is an east facing bedroom on the second floor of the house. Hardwood floor with closet. It has a newly remodeled private bathroom. Fresh linens and towels for each new guest. Shampoo and body wash are provided. Hairdryer, and alarm clock. The room has a locking door with key for the security of your belongings. We are happy to store your luggage after checkout until midnight if that's a convenience you desire.

We have a no shoe policy but we will provide slippers for indoor use. You can access a deck in the rear of the house that has a nice view of the hills, and lots of green, trees, to relax. It leads to a sunny backyard with mature fruit trees (year round lemon to pick from). Wireless Internet is provided.

Guest Access

The house has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bath, a living room with a gas fireplace, kitchen with gas stove, microwave oven, dishwasher and refrigerator, and a formal dinning room you can use.

Interaction with Guests

We like interaction, including hanging out and sharing culture. We enjoy home cooking and you are welcome to join us. Of course all optional.

The Neighborhood

This is a pretty safe and nice area of the city. Strolling around the colorful neighborhood is a pleasure as well. The house is located in the middle of glen park, mission and bernal height. Walking distance to many unique shops and restaurants.

The village of Glen Park is a thriving neighborhood, with great neighborhood restaurants like NYTimes reviewed Gialina pizzeria, Manzoni (Italian), Le P'tit Laurent (French Bistro w/3 course neighborhood menu), La Corneta taqueria, Chenery Park fine dining, Higher Grounds creperie, and Tyger's neighborhood coffee shop. The Cheese Boutique, Destination Bakery, and Canyon Market have all your other food needs covered!

Bird'n'Beckett bookstore carries new and used titles and has live jazz/folk on weekends. Coffee spots abound, with not a chain in sight. Stay in Glen Park and support hyperlocal merchants as prep for your day exploring this great city.

Getting around

SF is a relatively small city, you can get to most tourist attraction sites via public transportation within an hour. You can take muni line 14L or 14 (3 mins walking distance to the Richland bus stop) along Mission street to downtown or the Embarcadero; line 49 to the civic center or the marina district; line 43 to Golden Gate Park; line 23 to the SF Zoo, or Ocean Beach, or hop on the Bart at the Glen Park Bart station which is 10 minute walking distance, and connects you to the San Francisco international airport (about 25 minutes ride) and the east bay like Berkeley, Oakland, etc.

We can provide a car to drop off by the SFO at a reasonable price $30 ( for most of the time depending our schedule)

Other Things to Note

** Please before inquiring/booking, we kindly ask that you fill out your profile/verifications with a picture **
The room is available if you can book it through airbnb site. This is a family home, so there will be some noise. My husband works from home. I work a late hour shift so I stayed up pretty late at night but We will keep the noise down if you sleep early. My brother wilson is a college student who also lives with us and he stays in his room most of the time. you might also see my mom during the weekends. Checking in late is not a problem for us at all. This is a no pet or smoking place. Smoking has to be taken outside of the house. Street parking is free but it could be difficult to find a parking spot after 6pm. We have a new family member just moved in with us recently. His name is chief, a German shepherd. He stays in the garage most of the time. He barks once a while but mostly stay quiet. Let us know if you have any problem with dogs, we are very happy to accommodate.

  • We stayed at Leslie's and Gio's house for 4 days and we had a really good time there ! The room is small but super cosy and clean. Anything necessary is provided (towels, bed sheets, ...). Would definitely stay there again !!

  • We had a very nice stay at Joe's and Leslie's home. They provided us with all the necessary information we needed for our stay there. The room is rather small but has all the necessary stuff you need. The bed was very confortable and we were welcomed with macaroons, bottles of water and chocolate. It was also good to have a private bathroom. We found everything perfect, clean and nicely arranged.

The only downside is that it is pretty far away from downtown San Francisco if you are not travelling by car. For us, it was no problem as we had a rental car.

Leslie and Joe were friendly hosts and we dearly recommend to (email hidden).

    Response from Leslie & Gio:

    Hi,
Thank you for the feedback. Gio just moved his dog to my house recently, less than a week. I will update my profile to make this clearer for future guests.
We hope can stay with us again next time you are in sf!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Leslie and Gio's. The room was spacious with a very nice modern bathroom. Plus you're always welcome to pick your fresh lemons in the garden. :-) Having breakfast outside with the view over SF is also wonderful.
The hosts are very friendly and open people. Even took us out on our first night there to a great location (Revolution Cafe) where there was live music - great experience.
    Thanks for the wonderful stay.

  • We had a great time in San Francisco. The bedroom and bathroom were very nice and clean. The bed was very comftable. We met Gio and Lesslie only for a short time but they were both very friendly to us. Unfortunately the check in was a little bit difficult because our flight had a delay and we couldn't check in on time. When we arrived at their home nobody was at home. Because we hadnd't any cell phone with internet acess we couldn't read the message they had sent to us. We had to wait 2 hours long till somebody opened the door after a 13-hours-flight. A letter at the front door would have been a better solution or make sure that your cell phone works. Check out was uncomplicated.
But I totally recommend the stay at Gio and Lesslies home.
    Thank you!

  • Great place to stay for a short or long visit to San Fran! Exceptionally clean and a very comfortable bed and great shower. Leslie and Gio was very easy to communicate with and check-in/check-out couldn't have been easier. That apartment was very quiet. Safe neighborhood with plenty of public transit options. The BART is a 10 mins walk which was super helpful when catching a flight.

    Thanks so much!

  • Whilst Leslie and Gio weren't there during my stay, family member Wilson was, who offered me transport information to help getting into the centre of San Francisco. The room was nice and clean, and the neighbourhood felt completely safe. The BART was a 10 minute walk away and before you knew it, you were at Powell Street by the cable car stop. Would definitely stay with Leslie and Gio again.

  • Leslie and Gio were great hosts!
We only saw them when we first arrived. Both were there to great us which was nice. We were gone 90% of time exploring the city, but it was great knowing we had a clean comfortable place to go afterwards!
    Thanks guys!

About
hi, we enjoy travailing and meeting new people. We both stay up pretty late at night; i work mostly in the evenings and my husband works from home during the day. When we have the time, we like to go out and rediscover the exciting city life of San Francisco. We are very social and we do AirBnB also to meet people, make new friends, and if time allows, we are happy to show you around the City--or at least give you tips, advise, and answer any questions. My husband loves to host on (website hidden) so he has a lot of experience hosting travelers, and showing them areas of the City where locals like to go.
