Cars and parking in our neighborhood:
This is a city, and there is street parking with time limits, parking a car without a permit in the evening can be done. Our guests that have had a car have felt that it was pretty easy to find parking after a full day of touring. You may have to walk a couple of blocks but it is hit or miss.
More on cars:
If you have a car and don't want to use it during those times(8-4), there is public parking in the neighborhood (website) or you will have to move it during the day or be lucky to find a spot that does not ticket. It is do-able, but you have to be more motivated than the ticket enforcers. Do not leave anything visible in your car. Anywhere in the city.

Please feel free to contact us with any other inquiries if we haven't answered everything. We want our guests to be 100% sure before booking with us & we are happy to help. Sorry if any info is repeated. We just want to be clear.

We had such a blast staying at Linda's place. It was a great location that was within walking distance to most MUNI options in the area. We felt safe and the apartment was clean and very comfortable. We will definitely be staying there on our next trip to SF and would recommend this listing to anyone.
Staying in your apt made our trip to the west coast better than ever! We arrived in town earlier than check in time and luckily Linda and her son were able to accomodate that! The apt was perfect! Clean, bright and spacious. There were some refreshments, fresh fruit, cheese, crackers, wine, beer, bagels, etc that were very much appreciated---such a nice touch after traveling! The apt was very comfortable and the area was perfect........just a couple blocks from good friends! I would definitely stay there again if we return to the area! Thanks for everything!
The space was absolutely wonderful. San Francisco has the potential to feel like home when staying here. The Castro neighborhood is quiet and has a unique feel and I think the space represents exactly that. Just a block away stands the center of Castro with the Castro Theater and everything else that gives the area its zing. Linda made us feel extremely comfortable, providing us with ample means in which to contact her. She offered me many suggestions and was overall very helpful!
Cute apartment, great location! Lynda and her son attended to my every need and kindly stocked the fridge with snacks, as well as fresh fruit. I felt very welcome in their home and would recommend this rental to anyone who is looking to stay in the Castro.
Comfortable space in the Castro, love the neighborhood. Linda and Reggie supplied everything we needed for our stay and the wine was just what we needed after our long day of travel. Would definitely stay again!
I didn't get to meet Linda but the apartment was very nice and in a convenient location, close to restaurants and public transit.
My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous long weekend in San Francisco. We stayed at Linda's apartment Friday - Sunday night. Linda was both welcoming and accommodating. Our flight schedule put us outside of the normal "check in" time, but we were able to put our bags inside before we hit the streets for our first day of sightseeing. Linda even called to ask if we had any special snack requests - how nice is that?!
The apartment is very true to the photos. It is charming, clean and has everything you need for your stay - dishes, refrigerator, shampoo, soap, closet hangers and (my personal favorite) - a high powered hair dryer! There are even umbrellas and reusable bags in case you find yourself in the rain, or need to hit the grocery store. The bed is comfortable, and although we did not use it much, there is a nice cable TV in the bedroom.
This is a colorful neighborhood with a lot of energy! However, if you are in the mood for something more quiet, Noe Valley is just a short walk up the hill. If you're active and enjoy the outdoors, I recommend walking (or taking a car) to Corona Heights and/or Twin Peaks. Both are beautiful moderate to easy hikes where you can get a breathtaking view of the city. The apartment is also just a few short blocks to Dolores Park.
We loved our time in San Francisco! Linda was an A+ host and you can tell she really cares about her guests. She was very kind and made sure my husband and I were comfortable during our stay.
We will certainly be back soon.
