Cars and parking in our neighborhood:
This is a city, and there is street parking with time limits, parking a car without a permit in the evening can be done. Our guests that have had a car have felt that it was pretty easy to find parking after a full day of touring. You may have to walk a couple of blocks but it is hit or miss.
More on cars:
If you have a car and don't want to use it during those times(8-4), there is public parking in the neighborhood (website) or you will have to move it during the day or be lucky to find a spot that does not ticket. It is do-able, but you have to be more motivated than the ticket enforcers. Do not leave anything visible in your car. Anywhere in the city.

We enjoyed the neighbourhood - it is within easy walk of the main areas of Castro giving ready access to restaurants and other food suppliers. Access to Muni transport leading to all the other SF transport systems was a short easy walk. The apartment was very comfortable and we were made to feel welcome. We appreciated that some food was provided especially after our long flight from Europe.
We had an amazing time in this beautiful clean apartment!
We couldn't ask for a better location.
Linda & Reggie were super nice and very responsive.
I'll definitely come back here in my next visit to SF.
Amazing location in one of the best areas of SF - we did not have a chance to meet with Linda but checking in and out could not be more straightforward! I would recommend staying in Linda's flat.
Linda was a great host. My parents stayed here during my graduation week. Her and her son were very available and enthusiastic hosts. They even provided snacks and a bottle of wine for my family! The place comfortably fits two and was very clean. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to visit.
Thank you Toyin for having your parents stay in our apartment & thank your
parents for being such perfect guests. They took such amazing care & left
the place so clean it was like no one had stayed there. Please have them
back for another visit to S.F. We welcome you & them anytime.
Linda and Reggie were wonderful hosts and very accommodating! The place was super nice, bright, and in a wonderful location close to be Muni. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay. :)
We had a fantastic time staying in this beautiful home during our honeymoon. Reg and Linda are wonderful, attentive hosts with lots of great recommendations. The place is close to lots of wonderful eateries and you get a true feel for what the locals experience. I would absolutely stay with Reg and Linda again!
Linda is a fantastic host. Very responsive and attentive to detail. The location is spotless--clean and with everything you need. it's in a fantastic location, right in the heart of the castro and close to everything the mission and castro have to offer, as well as close to public transit. Linda provided snacks, maps and plenty of towels. I'd definitely stay here again.

I love having guests from all over the world.
Just a little visit whilst checking in gives me
a vicarious thrill of another place/culture.
I love a free wheeling type of travel. In the
'70s I traveled around Europe for a year.
I've been to Egypt 6 times & still haven't
seen all that I would like to see.
Mexico is so close & easy going. I love the
village of Ajijic where I have a family home
that I am lucky to use from time to time.
I have two grand daughters whom I help
travel because I think this is the best education.
Being in other countries, languages, cultures.
What's better than expanding your awareness.
I love it. Come stay with us so I can live
vicariously again & again.
