Although the flight my friends and I took arrived earlier than the check-in time, Onno allowed us to check-in early and he recommended excellent places to visit. The house was marvelous, it was by far the best air bnb I have been in. We had a great weekend staying in Onno's home and exploring Amsterdam!

Onno's place was perfect for me and my 3 friends. Onno was a great host and accommodated to our late arrival and early departure. The home is very spacious with a large living room, kitchen, and dining room. We did not need this much space, but it would be perfect for a small family traveling to Amsterdam. The location was great with a beautiful view of the canal from the living room. My friends and I were a bit nervous traveling to Amsterdam alone because we are young American girls, but we felt very safe at Onno's place. We were able to lock the door from the inside each night and never felt unsafe. The neighborhood is also very safe with a nearby park. Overall, a great Airbnb. I would definitely recommend.

Great place! Very well located. But quiet. Tram lines go everywhere. Spacious apartment. And a wonderful host.

Lovely apartment! I spent four nights with my husband and 2 teenage sons in this place. The apartment is located in a 17th century house in a very nice and safe area facing one of the canals. Onno gave us clear instructions on how to get there by bus or taxi. We took a taxi from the train station (e9.00) and got there in 5 minutes. Thalia, Onno's wife, welcomed us and was very helpful in giving us orientation about the neighborhood and things that we could enjoy around it. The apartment has a lovely view to the canal, and is very spacious and clear. Everything was clean, with all the essential commodities and was comfortable. From the apartment you can get anywhere in the city by bus or tram. Please keep in mind (as per the description) that the flat is located in a the third floor and there is not a lift, so you have to carry your luggage up and down. Onno was very helpful and replied almost immediately to our inquires. We really enjoyed the place and would recommend it to people that appreciate the charm of an old house with the amenities of modern life.

Great host and a great apartment. From the moment we booked, Onno was communicative and helpful, offering advice on how to transfer to the apartment from the airport, and providing tips on where to go in the neighborhood for a bite to eat. Additionally, Onno was kind enough to offer a little extra time at the end of the stay so we didn't have to head to the airport too long before our flight. In terms of the apartment itself, it is absolutely beautiful - it ties together plenty of classic and modern touches, and is incredibly spacious. We were a group of four and were perfectly comfortable. The one point to note is that the stairs in the building and in the apartment are quite steep and narrow. Not a problem for us (four 20-somethings), but may be tough for anyone with mobility issues or with small children prone to exploring unsupervised! The neighborhood is also spot on - just on the edge of Jordaan, and an easy 20 minute walk to the very heart of the old city through a beautiful neighborhood. It was great to be out of the hustle and bustle of central Amsterdam, but still within easy walking distance. Wonderful stay, highly recommend!

I'm Onno and I am enjoying life in Amsterdam with my wife and two kids (5 and 7). I play hockey in the weekends and if I find the time we visit Artis (zoo) or one of the many museums in Amsterdam. When the sun is out also Westerpark has some hidden gems.
