My comfortable and spacious town home is an ideal accommodation and in an ideal location - previous Ironman participants have enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, just two minutes from the center of town, the ocean, restaurants, and all activities. Barbeque on the gas grill and dine on the ocean view terrace. Relaxed Hawaii ambience.
It will be my honor to host you whatever your country - you won't find a better place to stay in Kona for the Ironman!
This is a freestanding, spacious 1,200 sq foot / 133 sq m, Asian décor town home. Light and airy with fans, high ceilings and large windows to let in the breeze and keeps things cool. Fully-equipped kitchen with modern appliances lets you prepare meals to your liking. Pick fresh herbs and perhaps some veggies from the back garden. Enjoy relaxed dining on the ocean view terrace. Large selection of Hawaii guidebooks and books on Hawaii culture, history, botany, geology and geography. Relax in a real bathtub! Interesting and eclectic selection of fiction and non-fiction books for your reading pleasure. HD television with hundreds of channels to watch sports or your favorite programs. And...The two-car garage is the place to safely keep all your Ironman gear and bikes and fine-tune them for the big day!
All rooms of the townhome and the garage are open to guests.
Interaction with guests
I expect to be able to meet and welcome you personally.
Other things to note
NOTE: Because of the large size and diversity of the Big Island as compared to the other Hawaiian Islands, a longer stay here is strongly recommended so you will be able to make the best of your visit here for the Ironman Championship.
No noise before 8 a.m. or after 10 p.m. please. Quiet parties are OK. Tenants are responsible for guests / visitors. No overnight guests. Please park in the driveway only - space is available for two cars. Trash must be put out on the curb in the special bin on Tuesday and Friday mornings. Also, please, please use the clothesline on the back terrace for drying clothes and wet towels - it's quick, efficient, natural and energy-saving. (Electricity is very expensive in Hawaii!)
Former newspaper editor and owner of marketing company, now retired. I am a 36-year resident of Hawaii. I have traveled extensively, especially enjoy France and Thailand. I like to spend time in one place in another country to get to know the local people and culture and also - speak their language! I especially enjoy: music, nature, reading, walking, cooking, and gardening.
