This has a well equipped house (we got by without TV & WiFi) in a great location. This has a fantastic beach close by. A great option for a family.

It's a nice place. No wifi, which I didn't notice until it was too late! Oh well, it was nice to have a break from the internet, but really needed it to look up things to do, etc. But there were some leaflets, thank goodness! The house was colder inside than outside, despite all the heaters being on and the hot water wasn't always there, despite putting on the heater. But a lovely place!

Response from Kathryn:
Leek, I'm really sorry you didn't spot that. I usually think to mention it when I get an enquiry. Not alone does the house have no WiFi; neither does it have any TV or VCR. This is quite deliberate as I use it as my writing sanctuary. The house does have plenty board games, cards, etc. I'm sorry if you didn't notice the two packed files/folders full of information about the area and things to do in the locality.

We had a fantastic stay in St. Helen's, the house was so inviting and homely. We enjoyed playing the board games and we even managed a BBQ one evening! It was so lovely to have those extra home comforts in the house. We really felt at home! It was very clean too and it was handy to have 2 showers seeing as there were 5 of us staying in the house, including a very sandy toddler! The house is so close to a beautiful beach and we were very lucky with the weather, I think we were on the beach every day. Thanks again and we look forward to another visit!

We had a very enjoyable week in St Helen's. Kathryn was very helpful and responsive both before and during our stay. The house itself was very comfortable and very well-stocked (e.g. towels, picnic bag, cooking essentials) which made the self-catering that bit easier. The location was perfect for 2 adults and 3 young kids in search of a simple holiday. We could walk to a playground and walk to the beach very easily. The beaches in the area were fantastic - plenty of sand and rock pools! The back garden was very secure and we even were lucky with the weather. Would definitely recommend this house.

From the moment that we found Kathryn's home on AirB&B to the final day of our stay, everything was perfect. Kathryn communicated clearly and timely with us and was very pleasant. I had forgotten to mention that we had a dog but it wasn't a problem and Kathryn even offered her dog bed and bowls. The house itself is very homely (lots of candles, books and boardgames) and airy. The beds are comfortable and the house is equipped with all necessities - there was nothing that we needed. The house is situated in a quiet cul de sac, about a 7 min walk to the beach and with lots of young families nearby. My children were in their element and made new friends! I couldn't recommend the house and Kathryn highly enough. We'll certainly return.

St Helen's bay beach is beautiful, great for hanging out with kids. We found the area remote, you would definitely need a car.
