Tucson has many interesting specialty shops and galleries in our city. Eclectic areas (such as Fourth Avenue) and traditional malls abound. From this property you'll find them all easily accessible.
Two minute walk (one block) to Rincon Market. If you're going to cook for yourself get your meat only from Uri at Rincon. Also, they have a full selection of fresh veggies, wines and beers. You can also try their breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet or sidle up to the deli counter for sandwiches. They also open the grill for lunch and on the weekends serve killer custom omelets.
10 minutes by car to Whole Foods or Safeway.
Dining: (Some of our favorites)
Walk to PJ's Subs (great sandwiches and cold beer).
Walk four blocks to Social House, Grimaldi's Pizza and Allegro il Gelato Naturale. So, so parking at best.
15 minute walk (5 minute drive) to the Tucson Tamale Factory. Saturday or Sunday arrive before noon and try the Huevos Rancheros. Extraordinary! Good parking.
15 minutes walk through the U of A campus to the Main Gate Plaza where you'll find Pasco and many other dining options as well as shopping. Its a 5 minute drive but parking is a hassle, hassle, hassle.
8 minutes by car to the world famous Kingfisher Bar and Grill. (A good crew, fab food and the bartenders know a good pour when you see it.) Tell them hello for me if I'm already there. Good parking.
6 minutes by car to El Mocajete (breakfast and lunch). Incredible mexican food known only to the locals. Mom in the kitchen, daughter running the front and family everywhere making it work. If you're there for lunch have a beer from the Silver Spur through the partition. Good parking.
10 minutes by car to downtown where V Fine Thai, Janos Downtown Kitchen, Hub and many other interesting eateries await. Take a cab or call JK Transportation for a Town Car that won't costs any more than a cab and the service is reliable.
10 minutes by car to McMahon's Steakhouse. Great, great beef and the best selection of cigars in Tucson. Try a 64, ask for Bob and tell him Granger says hello. Good parking.
15 minutes by car to St. Philips Plaza which is home to Vivace ((email hidden) and seafood lasagna), Scordato's Pizzeria (GF crust available) and Union House. Good parking.
15 minutes by car to Joesler Village where you'll enjoy Zin Burger, PF Chang's (Heather or (email hidden)), OM Sushi and Sullivan's Steakhouse. Good Parking.

Right next to the University and all its resources. The Sam Hughes neighborhood is inhabited by many professors and some of Tucson's most successful community leaders. Convenient, quiet and historic.
On a main East/West bus line.
Granger's was very hospitable. He allowed us to check in early and had some good suggestions for places to eat as we had 2 picky teenagers with us. He also provided us with a blow up bed for one of our 2 teenage children which was much appreciated. His place was just as advertised, clean, comfortable and in a great location.
Thank you! We had a great stay and would not hesitate to return again the next time we visit Tucson.
The location of this house was amazing! It is right next to the university and good restaurants/markets. The house itself was very nice and cozy. It felt very safe and inviting.
This is the 2nd time I have stayed here. Place in exactly what it says and is in the perfect location to visit my son. I'll be staying there again in the future.
A great experience, this property exceeded our expectations! The perfect location and a beautiful home.
Granger was very kind to allow us to check in early, and we were pleasantly surprised by the size and layout of the house. It was perfect for two couples visiting U of A's campus for the weekend. We were able to walk to campus, and also walk down to the Rincon market for a few supplies and lunch a Bob Dobbs.
We loved the fancy bar of chocolate he had left for us in the fridge!!!
It was a great weekend!
This is our second stay at this lovely home and just like the first, we had a wonderful time. It is in a great location close to restaurants, and of course the University.
