Daluva Home - boutique apartment.
Daluva Home is a one-bedroom boutique fully serviced penthouse apartment. Stylishly appointed and located in the trendy and chic West Lake area of Hanoi Viet Nam.

As far as we know there is no place like Daluva Home in all of Vietnam. It is like your own private home, but with all the services you'd expect from a highly rated hotel. We are situated in the calm and walkable West Lake neighborhood, about 10 minutes by taxi from the noisy, busy, bustling Old Quarter.

Right under Daluva Home is Daluva Restaurant and Bar, one of Hanoi's most innovative restaurants with the best cocktails in Vietnam.

We have many repeat guests and referrals, especially from the people who are on business, or are in need of a relaxing stay after traveling around Asia or working in the region.

The apartment is appointed with every comfort of home: it is luxurious, but not fussy; modern but not sterile. It is an older building, as such it has some character, but this adds to its charm.

Warm regards,
Your host: Shahar (Shay)

  • Thank you for the great stay Shahar.
The living room has a great local feel and is very spacious and homey; All beautiful joyful colors and patterns has given to this place an outstanding and inviting look.

  • I stayed at Deluva very briefly for a quick trip to Hanoi and found it a really nice change from the hotels I usually stay at in Hanoi. Shahar the owner is a very gracious and warm host and his staff have all been well trained. The restaurant downstairs was also an added bonus and I was able to set up a business dinner there at very short notice. The neighborhood is also great and boats anything the holiday or business traveller could want.

  • We had a 2 night stay at Daluva. The apartment is large and comfortable. Shay and his staff were very welcoming & helped us out a lot. Many thanks!

  • This stylish bolthole made my family's trip to Hanoi a real pleasure. Not only is the apartment above the most amazing restaurant (Shay's burger will blow your mind, fact), it's also stocked with zillions of movies so you can cozy down after a day walking the bustling streets. Shay lent us a mobile phone for the duration of our stay in case we got stuck/needed advice/a translator, and although we didn't need to use it, it was v reassuring to have. Shay also sourced us a cot for our 21 month son, which made the stay possible for us. The breakfast part of this package is served in the restaurant downstairs and is just as good as the lunch and evening options; the homemade granola with cashews is delish.
In terms of location, it might seem a bit daft to not stay smack-bang in the middle of the city, but we found the ten minute taxi ride gave us a bit of peace and quiet from all the scooter horns, and also a peek into lives of the locals and expats who live on west lake.

  • Great location. Wonderful time of year to visit Hanoi, on the lead up to Tet (late jan). Vibrant, loads of colour. The mandarin tree scooter procession was something to behold!
Shar (email hidden). Enjoyed the food tour and the cocktails. Flat was perfect. Can't wait to get back. Highly recommended, awesome city.

  • We loved it so much we booked Daluva twice on the same trip. Great everything!!!!!

  • We loved Daluva. It will be the first place we look to stay every time we come to Hanoi. If you want to stay in the middle of the commotion, this isn't the place for you... But if you love great food, an awesome staff, stellar cocktails, great walking routes in every direction, multiple delectable bakeries closeby, and a knowledgable, quirky, and friendly host (Shay)... Then book Daluva now.

You can get a hotel room anywhere, but a cute apartment with all the comforts of home, above a restaurant and bar where everything on the menu is great, is harder to find.

Shay knows his way around a martini, is a foodie/chef at heart, and his burger is famous for a reason!

Get "The Bronx" martini, walk around Tay Ho lake, visit the Urban Flea Market, and get Bun Cha down the road.

All in all, Daluva gets a 5 star rating from us. Again, if you want to smell backpackers this isn't for you, but if you want something comfortable, relaxed, and a 10 min taxi ride to Old Quarter ... Book now.

(Shay - you rock man. We certainly hope to see you again!)

  • We spent three nights at Daluva after returning from Laos - had already stayed in the Old Quarter previously so wanted to check out a different part of the City. This was a great choice. It's only about 10-15 minutes and about a $5-6 USD taxi ride from the Old Quarter anyway but this area of Hanoi has some great restaurants and shopping and West Lake is wonderful for walking. Shay and the staff at Daluva are wonderful hosts - great breakfast each morning and you have to have dinner at least once at Daluva - the tapas are wonderful and the cocktails and the locally brewed beer are great ! Also went out to a great dinner with Shay and his restaurant manager - really had a great time! Definitely recommend!! We will be staying her again when we return to Hanoi.

  • The apartment was comfortable and spacious. I lived in Hanoi before and knew the location, and this was where we wanted to be. Shahar and the Daluva Restaurant staff did everything possible to make our stay pleasant and easy. Laundry was done quickly and well. The apartment was cleaned every day, and was always well done. We were really happy with our stay. The following are potential problems. These were not problems for us, but some traveler's might want to know about these. The apartment is on a street that is noisy in the daytime, but at night it is very quiet. The bathroom is very small, but everything works well. The apartment is up four flights of stairs. You are not in "downtown," but taxis are easy to get and not expensive. There are good restaurants and grocery stores around the area and some nice walking along the lake nearby. All in (email hidden) to stay! Oh, yes, I forgot to mention great wifi, which you can use in the apartment or while having a cup of coffee (or breakfast, lunch or dinner) downstairs!
