Our rooms are unique and have a creative touch from local artists, upcycled furniture and vintage decorations. It is a comfortable place you can live in while in Kathmandu.
There is power backup, wifi, hot water, a kitchen/common room, plenty of parking space, garden area, and a sunny rooftop. We'll help you out with advice on getting around, events, and local favorites.
We are tucked away in a quiet alley in Patan, just south of central Kathmandu. It's within walking distance to many cafes, restaurants, shops, and public transport.
PLEASE NOTE THAT MINIMUM STAY IS 1 WEEK.
Please wear slippers inside as much as possible, and ask your guests to the same.
Clean up before leaving the kitchen after cooking.
Laundry service for clothes can be arranged for Rs. 300.
Smoking is only permitted on balconies or the roof. Please close your door to prevent smoke from blowing inside.
During loadshedding hours, do not use appliances that draw lots of power (vacuum, blender, electric heater, etc). Laptops and cell phone chargers are fine, but when possible please charge outside of loadshedding hours.
Even outside of loadshedding hours, please do your best to conserve power (turn lights off please!).
Toilet paper is provided in both common bathrooms, and an initial roll is provided in en-suite bathrooms.
We arrange to have drinking water jugs delivered; please contribute Rs. 10 per litre.
There is a communal area for left-behind items and basics (cooking oil, salt, dish soap); if you use things from it, please “pay it forward” and contribute to it.
Make sure the front door is locked when you leave, as well as your room door and windows. 9 Rooms is not responsible for theft or loss of property.
Space heater rentals can be arranged. Please let us know if you’re interested.
We don’t have a curfew, but please be respectful of others in terms of noise.
Even during the day, music should not impose on other guests.
Guests who stay with you for over two nights increase rate to the double occupancy rate for that period of time.
Please take care of your room; you will be responsible for replacement costs not associated with normal wear and tear.

Maintaining a safe, respectful environment is very important to us. We reserves the right to ask any guest to leave with one week notice if he or she habitually contradicts the above-listed guidelines or if he or she otherwise behaves disrespectfully to other guests. If a guest contributes to an immediately unsafe environment, he or she may be asked to leave with less than one week notice.
Great host to begin with. very informative and helpful. good room with nice kitchen area. although be nice to get carpet rooms vacuumed every now and then. overall, its a good home stay away from the busy streets of Kathmandu.
Really cozy house with super nice people, which lived up to our arspertations. The neighborhood feels quiet and local.
In the house we felt very at home and comfortable. The nice atmosphere in the house, the other housemates and sohnish as a good host created a good experiences for us - and we only feel sorry we couldn't stay longer.
