This house is perched on a cliff overlooking Boulder with floor to ceiling glass overlooking the canyon. Three bedroom with a phenomenal kitchen! Right on trails but just six minutes to downtown.
This stunning home is a locally envied gem in Boulder. Perched high on stunning Mount Sanitas and built in to the cliff with a rock outcrop flowing through, it has the look of an architect’s award-winning mountain home.
With the privacy of your very own 1000 square feet of deck, you’ll get to enjoy views of the stunning sunshine canyon, red rocks and the surrounding mountains. The sunset views are incredible. It’s not uncommon to see rainbows stretching across the valley, or wild deer grazing in the garden.
Inside you’ll find a huge kitchen equipped with everything you’ll need, including some of the best fresh coffee you could ask for. Coupled with a large BBQ on the main deck, this means you’ll want to spend many evenings just relaxing at the house. There are two additional living rooms and a large space perfect for doing yoga, reading or finishing a couple of hours work. Naturally the house comes with free wireless internet access in the main living spaces.
On the far side of the house you’ll find three large double bedrooms, one with a master king size bed and two with comfortable queen beds. A day bed in the second living room opens up to two soft single mattresses to sleep another two people in comfort. Fresh laundered bed linen from Anthropologie, hotel style clean towels for all guests and plenty of soft blankets mean you’ll feel incredibly at home.
Perfectly secluded for absorbing the beautiful scenery around you, this home is still just a 6 minute drive from downtown Boulder. A wonderful trail winds its way down the canyon from the house so it’s just 35 minutes to hike or a 11 minute bike ride to downtown.
Spend time enjoying the beautiful countryside, hiking trails, swimming in natural pools, the many wonderful restaurants and coffee shops in Boulder. Then as happy hour approaches, return for a decadent night in the most stunning of mountain homes. Perfect for secluded retreats, hosting wonderful dinners, family celebrations or even working-away groups.
Having spent 3 years travelling in 42 countries I know what’s important to Airbnb guests and I’m excited to welcome you to Sunshine Canyon!
Please note: due to the cliff location access to the house is via stairs though the gardens and may not be suitable for wheelchair access or those with difficulty walking.
Guests will have access to the entire house including bedrooms, kitchen, decks and living room.
Parking spots are limited to six cars, and since the location is on a cliff this is an actual, strict limit.
I love how close to Boulder the house is but how secluded it is. Perfectly perched on the ridge it is the best of mountains and city.
You will need a car or love hiking 30 minutes to get to downtown. By car it is a six minute drive.
Be kind to the house and treat it as if it were your own.
Smokers please note there is no smoking inside. Please use the decks!

Enjoy your vacation!
The house is wonderful! Awesome views, wonderful experience overall. Andrew was a very accommodating and thoughtful host. Extremely insightful with his tips about Boulder. He also made every effort to make us feel right at home.
Andrew was an excellent host. He was quickly available via text and phone throughout our stay. He gave great advice about what to do in the area. The house is amazing. The views are great and the neighborhood is quiet. The house was as described and very clean.
If snow is in the forecast or is already on the ground, definitely get yourself an AWD vehicle as the road to the house is snow packed and one lane. It will make it much easier to get there.
This is a beautiful home in a spectacular canyon within walking distance of Boulder. While feeling out in the woods, you are very close to the little town, and quality food and restaurants. The house is warm and comfortable with floor to ceiling windows in much of the house giving the feel of luxury camping. The kitchen is beautiful and well-stocked. Meals are very enjoyable looking at the views of the canyon and Boulder below. A bunny nestled in the rock out the window kept us company at breakfast. Geologists and rock lovers will be amazed at how this house is built around a rock intrusion. Andrew was extremely helpful and attentive, supplying useful and practical information, thinking ahead about things we might need and checking in almost everyday. A very kind host!
A Christmas tree! What a nice kind touch! And the bubbly`s in the fridge was such a friendly touch. Thank You Andrew for being such a wonderful host. I would recommend you to everyone!
Our stay at Andrew's house was magical and he was an excellent host. He greeted us at the house an hour early and was very responsive via text message while we were there. The house is incredible. It feels like you're climbing on the rocks as you walk through the rooms! The view of Boulder and the valley is amazing. Get up early for some sweet sunrises! Though it may be hard because the beds are so comfortable.
Andrew was a gracious host and his place is was spectacular. I spent Thanksgiving there with my husband and two other couples, and there was plenty of space for all of us. The location cannot be beat, just up in the hills from Boulder, a quick drive to town or up into the mountains for a hike. The views were unbelievable, making for some of the best sunrises I've ever experienced. This house is special, we truly hope to come back someday!
Our family of four happily stayed in this unique house.lots of natural light and breathtaking views. The house is comfortably and tastefully furnished and is only 5 minutes from downtown Boulder yet feels secluded and tucked away. easy access to hiking trails (one being two minutes from the house). Andrew was super friendly, helpful. We felt at home the minute we met him to give us a short tour of the house, he managed to give us a quick guide on where to eat-hike - do without overwhelming us. The kitchen is fully stocked and Andrew welcomed us with his favorite coffee (which we made in his Chemex ) and a bottle of wine. andrew was so kind and generous in offering for us to use whatever was in the fridge or pantry (This was especially helpful with two little ones). We are so thankful for him for making our stay comfortable and memorable and we will be coming again for sure !

Hello travelers! I just settled down from a three year round the world trip in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. I love cooking, getting outside as much as I can and meeting interesting people.
I'm lucky enough to have traveled a lot in my life. I've been to all 50 states and 51 countries including: Argentina, Aruba, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Latvia, Lebanon, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Panama, Qatar, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, and the UK. My favorite three would have to be Australia, Lebanon and Colombia (although I have had great experiences everywhere).
I'm a fan of Bluegrass, the American Southwest and how to make the most out of traveling.
