My condo is a modern, up scale unit in the booming Mission District. The masterbed room has a beautful southern view, a comfy bed and your own bathroom. You can step out the door to three different cafes on the same block.
Your room, suitable for up to 2 people, includes a queen bed, a rear-facing window that lets in sunshine but not very much noise (for a big city). The room is located on the second floor of the unit. This is the master bedroom with a full bathroom that is 100% private en suite. There is a large walk in closet and flat screen TV to watch movies or connect to your computer. There is a dresser and closet space for your clothes.
The apartment itself is modern but comfortable, spread across 2 floors with a loft feel, with all the common areas open to each other. On the first floor there's a full, modern kitchen open to the combined dining and living room. The living room features tall windows that show off the city's sun or fog, as the case may be. The kitchen is equipped with everything you'd expect and need, such as a dishwasher, gas stove, and ice machine. There is also a washer and dryer for guest staying 7 or more nights. The entire home has been new painted.
On the upper floor, where your room is located, there's a mezzanine that overlooks the living room — I primarily use this for office space, so you won't spend time here except to get to the deck. I am home during the day working if I am in town but travel often so you might have the house to yourself. On the deck you can take in a view of the city. The deck has a nice gas starting, charcoal BBQ which can be fun if you catch one of the warmer San Francisco evenings!
Wifi is available, however please note there is no television in the common areas. No smoking in the apartment.
There are reasonable quiet hours to respect my neighbors as I live in a condo and we can hear one another. There is a second bedroom in my home that my good friend occupies so you will have company during your stay. He works Monday-Friday out of the out of the house and has a busy social life so you might not even run into him during your stay.
WiFi, Full use of kitchen and living area, washer and dryer if you stay for a full week or upon request, gas grill on the deck
Interaction with Guests
If I'm here during your stay, you'll see me around as I work from home and will sleep in my office while you enjoy my room. I'm just as often out and about as I am at my desk, so I can also share lots of recommendations for how to have fun during your visit to San Francisco! I travel often for my work so we may not meet. I do have a roommate who you will probably meet but not see often.
The home is in the heart of one of San Francisco's most vibrant neighborhoods. Within just a few blocks are some of the city's new, exciting restaurants and bars including Flour + Water, Central Kitchen, Blowfish Sushi, Univeral Cafe and Trick Dog bar. Additionally Atlas Cafe and The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen are great for a coffee and simple lunch or dinner.
The apartment is located in the sunny Mission district, conveniently located just 15 minutes drive from downtown and 20 minutes from the airport. The 16th Street BART commuter train station is a 18 minute walk, putting you just 2 stops from shopping at Union Square as well as Powell Street and the nearby convention center. A few more stops and you will arrive at the vibrant Embarcadero which has shops, access to the bay and much more! The condo is also with in a block of two major bus lines, the 72-Bryant and the 12-Folsom
Other Things to Note
I do have two rooms that I rent on Airbnb so you may share the house other travelers, my roommate or myself.

1.Alcatraz – the boat ride out and back will give you a great view of the city
2.Golden Gate Park – you could spend days here particularly if you include the museums

Quiet hours are between 11:00-7:00 am to respect my neighbors as I live in a condo and we can hear one another. I do have two rooms that I rent on Airbnb so you may share the house other travelers, my roommate or myself.
We are a shoeless home.
The apartment is located on the third and fourth levels of the condo building which translates to 17 stairs from the ground level and another 15 once you enter the apartment to reach the main level of the apartment.
We loved our stay at Sharna's!! Before arriving, she e-mailed us information about that house which was really helpful and made us feel more comfortable. She even gave us a gift card for the cafe on the corner!! Her room was like a private retreat and was very relaxing. Sharna was always happy to see us and chat about the city.
Sharna was in every way a superhost. Her instructions were informative and the keyless entry certainly simplified access.
Place was as pictured and clean. You get the entire top floor of unit. Private bathroom with skylight. Private bedroom. Office space. Her roomie was super nice as well. Helped me with my luggage and offered me homemade soup.
WiFi super fast. Registered over 200 mbps on my signal app.
Area was awesome and everything was closeby. Sharna even left a gift card for nearby cafe. (Along with towels.)
Had a great time in the Mission District of S.F. at Sharna's home. It was very nice and she was pleasant and unobtrusive. The location is terrific with lots of wonderful coffee and eating establishments nearby. The bed was super comfortable and everything was clean and in order. Would happily stay there again.
Sharna was very accommodating upon our arrival to San Fran. Her communication was super from start to finish and we couldn't be happier with our overall experience. My husband and I stayed at her place for a week while making a transition from Houston to SF. The location of her condo is superb. When we first arrived, we didn't know the neighborhoods very well. We explored them all quite a bit while we looked for a place to live. Interestingly enough, we ended up loving the Mission District (near Sharna's home) the most out of any other area! It has a laid back, artsy, and eclectic vibe. The bars and restaurants/cafes in the immediate area are top notch. We loved it so much that we ended up leasing a condo just up the street. We are happy to call Sharna our neighbor :) The home was very well kept, clean, and all amenities were provided. It was like a home away from home. A nice welcome gift was also handed to us upon our arrival (thank you Sharna!). We were very pleased with our stay and would recommend this rental to all SF visitors!
Sharna is a great host, and her roommate Michael is very welcoming as well. Sharna had excellent food and drink recommendations upon our arrival. The room was clean and comfy. There are so many great venues nearby that make it a cinch to get by on foot, and it's only about a 20 minute Uber ride to the more touristy spots like the Ferry Building and North Beach.
We had a fabulous time at Sharna's apartment! Although we did not meet Sharna the communication was excellent and everything was run very smoothly. Hopefully we will return and I would definitely recommend staying here. The apartment itself is beautiful and clean. I really don't want to go home!

I am an executive coach and leadership consultant with my own business. I work out of my house so am around during the day. I spent 13 years in the hospitality business so opening up my home to travelers was a no brainer. I am orginally from Colorado but have been living in San Francisco for 19 years and love city life. I am more than happy to help you out with things to do and see. I love to cook and if you are around for a meal I am happy to share!
In 2013 I had a 26 day adventure through Italy, Malawi, Africa and China. In Italy I soaked Rome for just a day, volunteered in Africa with the African Library Project and worked and vacationed in China. I stayed in a few Airbnb places and loved it. The trip inspired me to continue to host others from all over the world. I feel like I got to experience my trip through the lense of the locals via my stays with Airbnb host. It was awesome and I want to do the same for others.
I am commited to being a global citizen. Of course that is a big concept and would be happy to share a drink with you and discuss it further. I want to continue to have my mind and heart opened and touched by people from all over the world. Hosting and traveling are not the only ways I do that but they are two of the ways that are completely invigorating to me.
