The first and most important fact about us is that we are a local family from Budapest: 3 Brothers and 1 Sister and their Mother, and we are not an agency or someone sitting in another country doing AirBnB through an agency, this gives us the chance to give you more attention from your first email until we bring you back to the airport*. We are all Hungarians from Budapest who have been always living here so we know the city very well and have presented our lovely country to many-many visitors in the past decade.
We started doing AirBnB when it did not even exist, I was 16 back in 2001 when I started renting out rooms and apartments to travelers. We had many-many happy travelers and even more stories until we set up (website hidden) and kept on growing. The concept of (website hidden) is a new expression on how to visit and become part of this unique city. Staying with Us you get the chance to discover the city with a perspective of a local. Our aim is to give our Guests a comprehensive insight on how life is in Budapest. Jászai Mari tér station, which is located 50 meters from the apartment is located in the northern part of Belváros, the city's most central 5th district. The apartment is located next to the Danube in a very central spot, from where you can even walk to all the sights and important places in Budapest.
The square across the apartment has a station of the 2 most important tramlines of the city, the tramline 2 and tramlines 4/6. So you have easy and 24H public transportation from the apartment also.
The river is about 100 meters away from the apartment, as the apartment is located on Pozsonyi út which is a famous restaurant and shopping street of the city.
Sights next to Palatinus Palace: the House of Parliament, Margaret Island, Buda Castle, + any of the other sights within 15 minutes walk.
The closest bath houses: Lukács, Király and Veli Bej Baths.
Around the building downstairs you can find: a shop open 24/7, a coffee shop, local restaurants, a pharmacy, an exchange office.
Clubs and many restaurants nearby: Pozsonyi út and Lipótváros and the former Jewish District's bars (with many of the famous so called "ruin pubs".
The nearest tram stop of the main tramline of the city called "JASZAI MARI TER" (line 4 and 6) is just 1 minutes away. The trams run every 2-3 minutes, 24H a day and have stops around the city (both Buda and Pest side) very frequently, thus plenty of the main city sites can be accessed with it.
The Metro M3 with its NYUGATI PALYAUDVAR station is 5 minutes walk away.

Everything was perfect, thanks a lot!
The place was clean and comfortable. The apartment's location was very good and easy to find it.
It's a really good relation of price & quality.
The location of this apartment is just perfect, a few minutes walk to the center and there is also a free parking area near the city park.
The room, bathroom and kitchen are clean, well furnished and equipped.
The boy that met us was very kind and punctual and gave us usuful information.
We stayed at the Andrassy Palace for 10 days in July of 2014. We paid an average of $30 USD each night, and for that cost, the accommodations were mostly fair. Most everyone we had contact with was kind and generally helpful. The location of this apartment is its best feature. Near key sights, a metro station, and the main train station, we were never more than a 15-20 minute walk from where we wanted to be. However, the apartment itself is, at best, primitive, offering minimal, if any, of the “comforts of home.” While the weather during the time we stayed was beautiful and we almost never needed AC, the apartment has no AC in it. The apartment has a washer but no dryer. This means that sheets and towels, washed and hung to dry, smell sour. The apartment offers three bedrooms. The “double room” we were assigned to had no décor and offered two mattresses stacked one on the other with no bed frame. For the first three-four days of our stay there was no wireless internet. Though this problem may have been fixed as quickly as possible, the accommodations without internet (especially for foreigners who don’t know the city or culture) were not worth the discounted price. Finally, the apartment is a shared space, which does provide the opportunity to meet other travelers, but it has no enforced rules which means people are in and out of the apartment at all hours of the night (not making for a very restful sleep). As a note, the apartment itself is at the top of the building following 6 flights of stairs with no elevator. While this is not meant as a complaint, it seems an important piece of information to know. Finally, transportation to and from the airport offered via the owners was overpriced and stressful. For the cost, we felt we should have been greeted at the gate to help ease the transition into a brand new country and culture. We were asked, however, to make a call when we landed and then had to figure out which gate we were wanted at via a broken English conversation – overall, much more stressful than necessary. Bottom line, Andrassy is a good, not great, value. If saving money is your top priority, this is a good choice. If, however, comfort is a high priority, another accommodation in Budapest may be a better option.
The place is great, big room, they also allow us to use the washing machine and the kitchen. Location is great nearby the bus stop and a lot of place to eat. Peter also is a very good person, he help us taking the luggages to the apartement which is on the 4th floor.
We had a lovely time at the Andrassy house. Peter was an incredibly helpful host. It was clean, in a great location and the building was beautiful!
