Michael was very responsive to questions, and very easy to work with. The place is in a great location - a quiet neighborhood just a 10 minute walk from the French Quarter and Frenchmen street festivities. Many good, non-touristy restaurants and bars are nearby. The place is very quaint and clean. A spacious bathroom makes up for the small kitchen, but the kitchen is totally workable. The bedroom's bed is very comfortable and there's a large closet and large dressers. The 3rd bed is really just a camping cot with a thin mattress. It's fine for a tired tourist. We'll definitely use Michael's place again

This place is awesome -- great location, easily walkable to everything we wanted to do, quiet, clean, and comfortable. We even enjoyed a couple of nights in because it was such a great space. We loved the local recommendations and thought the neighborhood was lovely.

Interesting historical 'up and coming' neighborhood. Homes are a mix of run down and well cared charming places. It seems like it's slowly being gentrified. It is not a commercial or touristy area. It's authentic New Orleans! Old lanterns hanging from porches are lit day and night--adding mystique and character and a French charm. The sidewalks are wonky from old tree roots. The area is truly unique in my opiniion, but some may find it a bit too dilapidated. It worked for us. We enjoyed it immensely.

Response from Michael:
Sorry you had concerns. The house itself is completely remodeled and new. The neighborhood is like most New Orleans neighborhood's. Lots of very unique cottages and homes. There is no city quite like New Orleans and that's why we have this house. We have had no reports of issues in the neighborhood with crime in my area. Just like any downtown area, you always need to be aware, but we have never had any complaints of any issues on our street. Sorry if you felt otherwise. I am glad you enjoyed your trip.

This place is perfect for a weekend getaway. You’re far enough from the French quarter to experience the more “normal/local” NOLA vibes but close enough to walk to downtown in less than 15 minutes. Michael’s place was amazing and I would highly recommend it.

What a beautiful space! Fully stocked kitchen and the AC/Heating was excellent. Very conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood, but still walking distance to all the popular spots. The only little critique, the bed was super-firm, as were the pillows, I would recommend bringing your own pillow if you are use to something fluffier. Getting here and getting in was super easy with the key code lock. I would want to come stay here again. This definitely felt like our "home" away from home.
