Great service, easy communication, was a really enjoyable stay. Booked and accepted on the same day needed, last minute arrangement not a problem!
I loved my stay in Tris's House. She was so responsable and nice picking us at the train station. Everything was perfect! The house is AMAZING and public transport very easy. I highly recommend! Tks for all Tris!!!
Tris' place is such a nice stay! Everything is perfect! Tris is a very nice host! She prepared everything and even got us some wood for the fireplace, though we were too busy walking Amsterdam. And we saw the cat too! So cute. We could recommend tris' place for others who wish to travel in Amsterdam.
I wasn't exactly thrilled with this my first Airbnb experience. Firstly, once i had paid, it turns out I paid more (25€ per night more) than what the advert actually said (Trish says it's a weekend rate, but i see no such thing on her site, and airbnb has not responded). It must be said, though, Trish is quite accomodating in terms of being available to answer questions and even offered to pick me up from the station (albeit an hour and half after my arriving), for which I was grateful. However, as we made our way to her home, I was horrified to see us getting further and further from Amsterdam. Then, when I saw a sign with the word "Amsterdam" crossed-out in red I almost jumped out of the car. Trish only explained at this moment the relatively poor communication her place has (buses every 20 miuntes which take 25 to 35 minutes and NOT 20 and ONLY run between 7 am and 11:59 pm), a bike ride of 45 minutes, (but first find a bike, not quite possible if you arrive anytime after 5 pm, and Trish is not gonna help you out on this one. Taxi you say? 25€ a pop), and a walk which can taken anything from 50 minutes to an hour and a half) and while her place is certainly pleasant and tranquil enough and could comfortably accomodate two or three people, frankly speaking, who goes to Amsterdam for peace and quiet? I felt the ad was not quite as forthright as it could be, and while I understand that it is clear about the distance (8 km +), it is not exceptionally clear about how easy it is to get to central Amsterdam, all the more unclear if you have never been. Trish did indeed show me some empathy and we came to an agreement, but much to my dissapointment, she did not completely fulfill her end of it. I would hardly call her place the perfect house in Amsterdam. It's a nice house in Amsterdam's suburbia, so kiss easy access to canals, coffee-shops, museums, etc. goodbye. But hey, at least you can sleep well and watch TV. In light of this, I reckon this place is also a little over-priced. It is clean and Trish seems like authentically good person, helpful and willing to make her patrons happy, within strict parametres of reason, laying out coffee and brochures for the interested, but the perks end there.
Tris was simply great, as always, for this reason I choose always her place for staying in Amsterdam.
The place is very comfortable and located in a peaceful neighbourhood
There are many perks to this place; an incredibly comfortable bed and couch, ample complimentary coffee and tea, and a lovely, flower filled spot outside to enjoy. Tris was very helpful; she picked me up from the train station and was quick with tips/suggestions and patient. Easy access to both Amsterdam city center and historic Haarlem. Merci!
