THE TOWN AND ACTIVITIES
Breckenridge is an authentic Colorado mountain town that greets you with its laid-back charm and modern amenities. Being on peak 7 gives you the opportunity to relax after you have experienced all you can from the day, escaping the noise of town, returning to the peace and tranquility being high on the mountain, surrounded by incredible wildlife, pine and aspen trees.
Winter is the time for skiing and snowshoeing, summers are also packed full of activities such as golf, hiking the trails, canoeing, sailing, mountain biking, rafting and zip lining. There are roller coasters at the base of Peak 8 in the summer months, with a kids adventure park. It should be noted that the mountain views from the apartment are obstructed in the summer months due to the leaves on the many aspen trees.

Peak 7 is a great neighbourhood as it is very close to the town of Breckenridge, with all its wonderful amenities. The apartment itself is secluded, surrounded by national forest woodland and wildlife. Many of our guests have seen moose, elk and hawks. It really is the best of both worlds.
The apartment is approximately a 20 minute walk uphill from the closest bus stop, which is not advisable in winter at high altitude. A car is highly recommended. There is a free bus system that connects all the mountains for skiing and hiking.
There are a few rules that all guests must acknowledge at all times.
The apartment is strictly is non-smoking. You are welcome to smoke outside, whatever form that takes.
The minimum age for rentals is 21 years.
Strictly no pets are allowed to keep the apartment nice for everyone.
Also, please carefully note that we can only accommodate four guests at the apartment due to our insurance coverage. We simply cannot allow more than four people overnight.
Vicky and Al were wonderful. We arrived rather late in the evening so we didn't get the full scope of the area until the next morning. One word: Breathtaking. The place is nestled high on the peak so you open the door to some truly astounding views. The apartment itself is wonderful. Incredibly spacious and well maintained. There is more than enough space for two couples to share the space and quite literally all the amenities you could want or need are provided. The space is incredibly comfortable and after a long day on the slopes you are more than ready to cuddle up on the cozy couch. Vicky provides all the information that you need to get around the area as well as some excellent information on the local wildlife. We arrived right before a few rounds of snowfall and were pleasantly surprised at how quickly the driveway was made usable--being from Miami we were a little terrified to try driving in the snow. All in all this was an incredible vacation. The town of Breckenridge is incredibly charming and Vicky and Al contributed greatly to that charm. Highly recommended!
Our hostess was actually finishing up with preparations for our stay when we arrived a bit early! How nice to meet her and then be able to "move right in" upon our arrival. The apartment was like a condo, all to ourselves, beautifully appointed, with a fully equipped kitchen - including small appliances and condiments, and very comfy beds! Staying at this location gave us a great taste of "the mountain life" - in the woods, surrounded by several mountains, yet easy access and clear roads all the way into Breckenridge just a few miles away. There were a few snowfalls during our stay, but our sidewalk and steps were kept clear, and the driveway and roads were always well plowed. We would definitely recommend this "piece of heaven on 7," especially if you want to be away from the hubbub of downtown Breckenridge and want to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings there. A stay in the summer would be excellent, too, sitting out on the deck!
2 thumbs up!!!
Had a great experience staying with Vicky! She is a friendly and very available host and was always quick to respond to any questions. The apartment was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a fantastic ski vacation. Would love to stay again sometime!
My family and I will make sure to stay at Vicky's cabin on any trip to Breckenridge moving forward. It was cozy, clean, close to town, welcoming, and overall an amazing place to stay. The location looks out to a beautiful valley and is a 5 minute drive to the Gondola. Vicky and Al were wonderful hosts...they helped us out with any questions we had and ensured we felt welcome and comfortable during our stay. I give this cabin 5 stars and highly recommend it to anybody looking for a place in Breckenridge!
We had a great time staying at Vicky's place. The apartment is really nice and felt like home. Didn't have all the noise of staying at the resort, and wake up to a great view of the mountains. The place is 5 minutes from the gondola at Breck, just can't beat the location. We will definitely be hoping to stay at Vicky's next time we hit up the Vail resorts.
We had a great time in Breck! Vicky's apartment is in a great location - private and quiet yet only about 10 minutes from downtown Breck and/or skiing. A 4x4 or awd vehicle is highly recommended as the driveway slopes down to the house. The house was equipped with almost everything we needed (couldn't find sandwich bags for transportable lunches), including Epsom salts for a relaxing bath after skiing. Vicky provided a great informational book with directions to various restaurants and local ski areas as well as general tips and suggestions. The apartment has numerous thermostats which made it easy to control the temp throughout the space. Vicky was very responsive via airbnb email and made everything as easy as possible for us. While we loved our stay and would certainly come back, two very small aspects could be improved; it would be more convenient to include a garage door opener for guests so you don't need to continually get in and out of the car to open/close the garage. Additionally we could hear footsteps above us; while the homeowners were very quiet and respectful of our privacy we could sometimes hear them walking around in their home (as the apartment is the lower level of the house), honestly not a big annoyance though! Thank you for a great stay!! We hope to come back soon!
We had a wonderful stay at Vicky and Al's apartment this weekend!! It was cozy, quiet, comfortable, and very clean. We definitely plan to come back again!
My husband and I drove through Breckenridge on a major road trip around the United States when we were still living in England. Three years later we moved to Breckenridge and have loved it ever since. We fell in love with Breckenridge and Colorado as it has a wonderful climate for so many activities including skiing and riding on some of the best mountains in North America and all the summer activities you could desire. It also helps that the blue skies here always make you feel happy!
We will always be available to help with any questions you have on what to do and where to go, and we hope you love our apartment on Peak 7 as much as we do.
