Bright, sunny, beautiful, newly furnished and clean 2 bedroom unit in SE Portland with private entry. This is a private second floor apartment in a 1920's craftsman bungalow nestled among many large trees. Our family of 4 lives in the first level. We are very kid friendly.
Bedrooms: Bedroom 1: queen bed; Bedroom 2: two twins in a beautiful trundle bed. Sleeps 4 comfortably and up to 6 in a pinch. (Leather living room couch folds down to a double bed). New eco/body friendly mattresses with allergy covers on mattresses and pillows. New bedding including pillows, high thread count sheets, plush wool mattress topper, cotton quilts, fleece and wool blankets, down comforters.
For Children: Besides the two twin beds we have a Pack-N-Play portable crib and changing table, booster seat, rocking horse, children's' books, puzzles, board games, wooden blocks and toys.
Bathroom: Newly updated private bath in unit, with shower and new plush towels.
Kitchen: The bright kitchen overlooks the back yard and is fully appointed with plates, cookware, utensils, toaster, coffee pot, baking sheets and more. We stock the kitchen with essentials such as sugar, flour, spices, cooking oils, etc., and always provide fresh coffee, tea and instant oatmeal.
Living Room: Our 1920's era apartment features an eclectic mixture of modern and vintage furnishings. Gas furnace in the living room resembles a wood stove, and keeps the unit very cozy in the cold months. Air conditioning in both bedrooms.
Tech details: New flat screen HDTV and Dish network with all premium channels and wireless access. Wireless internet with secure password.
Laundry: If guests require laundry facilities there is a washer and dryer located in the unfinished basement. Our family also uses the washer/dryer but we try keep it free as much as possible for our guests to use. Door to basement will be unlocked from 8am until 8pm.
Outside: The garden and yards are small, but guests are welcome to share and enjoy the front and back spaces.
We are always happy to meet our guests and introduce ourselves, give directions, etc. Just give us a call/text/email or come knock downstairs. We also are happy to offer our guests complete privacy. We have a lockbox with a code for check-in convenience.
Neighborhood: Located In the Division/Clinton dining district, we are within walking distance (1-2 blocks) to Stumptown Coffee, Woodsman Market and Restaurant, and many other SE Portland restaurants and shops. Check out our guidebook for some of our favorites! We are also close to Hawthorne, well known for its shopping. Our home is in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood with craftsman style homes. Easy walk (10 minute) to organic grocery store, New Seasons Market. To get downtown or to the rest of the city the Bus stop is 1 block away and around the corner, though Hawthorne and Division/Clinton streets are walkable. We are not far from beautiful Mt Tabor with hiking/biking trails, playgrounds, and a view of the entire city.
Free street parking available. Bus lines are a block away - schedules available on Trimet online.
IMPORTANT: The home is the 2nd floor unit in a busy family home with 2 young children 2 and 6 years old. We try our best to create a quiet environment for our guests during late evening and early morning hours but sound carries easily in this nearly 100 year old home. Our kids definitely bustle around during the daytime. Both units (upper and lower) are completely separated and there is a private exterior entry into the 2nd floor apartment.

We enjoyed staying at Raven's Nest. It was the perfect place to take our 2 year old granddaughter to play with the toys Becky has considerately stocked the apartment with.
Ravens' Nest is in a great neighborhood with lots of restaurants, etc.
We will definitely book again in the future.
Great stay. Becky was very helpful with local restaurant suggestions and making sure our crib rental arrived before we did. Home was very comfortable for my husband, mother and 1 1/2 year old. There were plenty of toys, books and even a booster seat for him to use. Make it MUCH nicer than staying in a hotel or typical B&B.
This was a great spot. We stayed here with our 10 month old and the place was very kid friendly. There were lots of books and toys there were new and exciting to our little guy, which was great.
The house is located in a great neighborhood in Portland. You can walk to countless restaurants and cafes. My favorites were the Woodsman for breakfast sandwiches, Petite Provence for pastries, Ava Genes for dinner and many other spots on Division.
The Raven's Nest was the perfect spot for our girls weekend in PDX. The apartment was located right off Division St so we could walk everywhere for food, coffee, and shopping. We loved the SE neighborhood and having a Stumptown right down the street, and are so glad we stayed there. Thanks Becky and family for making us feel so welcome and providing such a great place for us to call home during our stay :)
Raven's Nest in Portland, OR, is charming, comfortable, and cozy. The owners thought of everything to make our stay delightful. The kitchen was stocked with essentials, there were plenty of linens, and even extra blankets. The owners were present on the property, but noninterfering-- just helpful. They corresponded by email-- even while we were right upstairs! All of us in our party were happy with the accommodations.
Becky's house was awesome! Located in a great area of Portland with lots of bars/cafes and places to eat close to the house. Highly recommend this house to any first time travellers to Portland!
I stayed at Becky's place with three of my girlfriends for three nights and we had such a lovely time! Comfy beds, cosy living room, clean bathroom and the cutest kitchen. There are lots of privacy and Becky's super accommodating. I highly recommend staying here.
This apartment worked well for my friend and I while we stayed in Portland for a workshop. The sheets and blankets on the beds were super cozy and the fireplace heated up the whole unit really well. I appreciated the consideration for guests- they have a coffee grinder and some coffee to choose from, cable tv, the hosts didn't intrude on our privacy...
Just a couple of things were a challenge. The noise from the hosts downstairs kept us awake a few nights and woke us quite early a few mornings. I became self conscious of the noise I was contributing and worried they were hearing our conversations or our clomping about upstairs. Also, the wireless internet was a bit spotty at times and wouldn't come in all the way on a regular basis.
Other than those things, it was a good place to stay. Convenient to fun and bustling Portland streets and good grocery stores.
Sorry about the noise! Our toddler had a serious bronchial infection that week and was up in the night needing a lot of care. Not our usual. We rarely if ever hear our guests upstairs - not the tv, talking, etc. The internet is now fixed - sorry we didn't know it was being troublesome! It was just a loose antennae - a quick fix.
This private, two bedroom (upper floor of two-story home) was perfect for a set of grandparents, a set of parents, and a little granddaughter. Very family-friendly, with a well-stocked kitchen. Quiet and stocked with all that we needed for a wonderful stay together.
This is a spacious and light apartment that worked well for our family of four. We normally need to rent two hotel rooms as we have 14 year old twins requiring a bit of privacy but this place and its two bedrooms worked well. It was plenty warm during a winter holiday stay. The kitchen was perfect for morning coffee and breakfast.
The location of this property is fine for exploring Richmond/Division street which is one of Portland's most interesting especially for "foodies". Two blocks to Stumptown, one of the best coffee shops on the planet!
The vintage feel of the place ties in perfectly to the neighborhood and all things good about PDX. Skip the hotel and stay here!
