This lovely beach cottage is located only a few flip flop clicks from the sugary white sands of beautiful North Clearwater Beach. "Best Beach in Florida" 2013 by USA today.
Located in a safe, secluded quite residential neighborhood, this Charming Cottage House has a welcoming backyard with lagoon style salt chlorinated pool (soft water, no chemicals!) with Spa and lush tropical landscaping. There is an outdoor shower for de-sanding after the beach, Large propane grill and utensils for cooking out, large Teak table that seats 10, lounge chairs & Adirondack chairs. For the beach there are a variety of beach chairs, towels, and umbrella as well as large rolling cooler and 1 gallon beverage thermos.
This is NOT an appropriate house for large gatherings, loud groups, late night or frequent coming and goings. 2 Car MAXimum at all times & ONLY registered guests are permitted to access the property. Front & side property 24/7 Video survelliance.
Pool and Spa may be heated for additional costs (see house manual). Heating time & costs vary depending on air temperature & desired water temperature. Average cost to heat pool to 78F during winter months $225/wk. During the winter months pool may take 1-2 days to heat (let me know one week ahead if you would like to have pool warm when you arrive). Spa takes 20-45 minutes to heat. Average cost to heat spa $4 per hour.
The house has a great room with wood beam ceiling, terracotta flooring, wood burning fireplace, suede sofas, reclining love seat and cozy window seat off the dining area. There is a very nice feel to the home. Inviting and comfortable. The kind of place you want to stay a while.
The master bedroom has a temperpedic king size bed, guest (front) bedroom has queen size simmons beauty rest bed, the back bedroom has a queen size murphy bed (to be kept up when not in use), and living room has a queen size sleeper sofa. Inflatible queen mattress and pack and play provided as well.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, Gemini double oven (1/2 size oven and full size oven), dish washer, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, toaster, blender, hand mixer, crockpot, food processor, hot air popcorn machine, fondue pot, etc. Reverse osmosis water- no need for plastic water bottles! Refrigerator has ice maker from filtered water.
Main bathroom has a jacuzzi tub with shower (BIG step up). Second bathroom has shower only (easy access).
Keyless entry system. Key in lock box for emergencies.

Cellular coverage in the beach area is poor for some providers. Check with your carrier for coverage if this is an issue for your accommodation choice.
Unique about the house:
Wood lined ceilings in great room with wood burning fireplace, incredibly relaxing backyard with Tropical landscaping/lagoon style pool. It's the owner's personal residence (temprarily turned rental) so there are a lot of special touches & extras not found in a typical rental home.
Quiet, Peaceful Residential section of North Clearwater Beach & guests staying here are expected to help keep it that way :-)
No need for a car if you plan to spend your time at the beach. It's only a 15 minute walk south to trendy shops and restaurants. 20 minute walk to Pier 60 with its nightly street performers and weekend free movies in the park. There is a beach trolley stop two blocks from house that will take you to Pier 60, downtown Clearwater (where there is main bus terminal), south down the gulf beaches, Dunedin (Fri - Sun), or island estates (where Winter resides at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium).
There is a detached garage containing a small room that is private and separate from the main house. Room may be occupied/used by owner with access limited to ONLY the south side entrance, garage and South side of driveway. Complete privacy exists for the house guests who have exclusive use of the backyard and swimming pool.
Access backyard through the north side yard (right side as you are looking at the house from the street). The south gate/left side entry is private as is the garage. Reserved for owners use.
Interaction with Guests
I leave that up to the guests! I will give those who want their alone time their privacy and for those who'd like to socialize, my available time.
When I am traveling my interaction is limited based on time zones and internet access, but have wonderful care takers (contact information in house manual) available to assist my guests.
Quiet, Peaceful Residential section of North Clearwater Beach

Beach trolley (two streets over - 2-3 minute walk)
Bus station - downtown Clearwater (can take the trolley there)
Enterprise Rental Car - downtown Clearwater (can take the trolley within a few blocks)
Private transportation services provided by many of the local restaurants & bars (Don't even think about drinking & driving - heavy enforcement on the beach).
Traffic is heavy. Best to avoid coming & going to the beach between 10am and 2 pm, The two hours before sunset & 1 hour after (check internet for times). Alternative route to Gulf to Bay/SR60 is to head east via East Bay/West Bay Drive cross over the Bellair Beach Causeway & head north (make right) on Gulf Blvd. coming over the Sand Key bridge to Clearwater Beach.

Be respectful of the neighbors (who are not on holiday and have to wake at 6am for work). Sound travels far at night. Bring the party inside after hours on week nights. 10pm. If coming and going late at night, be mindful neighbors bed is within 20 feet of the driveway. Do not talk loudly or slam car doors or you will wake them.
Only the registered guests may access/use the house and yard. No unauthorized/unapproved guests or visitors.
Trash pick up is Monday and Thursday mornings. Please roll black trash bins to the curb with the opening facing the curb Sunday and Wednesday nights. Return bin to far left side of driveway.
Recycling pick up is Thursday mornings. Please roll blue recycling bin to the curb on Wednesday night with opening facing the street. Return bin to behind white lattice fence after pick up.
No Smoking in the house (or front porch when windows are open). Do not throw cigarettes into the landscaping. $10 charged by housekeeping for every butt picked up.
POOL, SPA & OUTDOOR EQUIP
There is no safety net around the pool. If you agree to stay at this house you must accept full responsibility for the safety of people in the back yard
Try to keep the sand on the beach & out of the pool ;-) Be sure to shower off before entering the pool. There is an outdoor shower and garden hose located near the pool steps for your convenience. If pool man has to do special cleaning for sand- it will be deducted from your deposit.
No diving in the swimming pool as it is too shallow. Maximum depth 6 ft.
No screaming in the pool ... unless emergency service is required.
Pool/spa heating - extra fee - occupants will be charged for actual usage of natural gas. Instructions on how to calculate the cost (to keep an eye on for no surprises) is in the house guide. Meter for gas is mounted on the house, outside the kitchen before the side yard fence entry. Link to video on how to operate in the house manual section (airbnb).
Please clean/de-sand the beach chairs, umbrella, coolers before returning to their storage location. If still wet at check out time, please leave the cleaned beach equipment under the covered porch area to dry.
No glass in the pool area for your safety... as well as my housewares :-)
Please keep gas grill and gas pool heater covered when not in use. Email owner if the grill is low or out of fuel. There are 3 fuel tanks.
Grill and grill utensils are to be cleaned after last use and left in "ready to use" condition for next guests.
Turn gas valve to "off" after use of Grill.
Please be sure outdoor pool & flood lights are turned off before retiring for the night.
Two car limit on the right hand side (as you look at the house from street) of the driveway.
NO PARKING on the street or neighbor's property. If parking elsewhere on the beach, be sure vehicle is facing the direction of traffic or you may be ticketed by the Clearwater Police. It is a parking violation to park facing oncoming traffic. Be sure to check for no parking signs.
Please be mindful of energy use. Excessive utility costs (electric and water costs in excess of $400 average per month) will be deducted from deposit (meters are photographed before check in and after check out).
All appliances & Electrical devices are checked by housekeeping staff at checkout. Inventory is taken at check out. Videos are used to reflect house condition before & after check in. It is your responsibility to report any problems or damages. Failure to report problems/maintenance issues in timely matter may result in CLAIMS AGAINST DEPOSIT if property damage occurs as a result of negligence/lack of timely attention.
Please leave all dirty linens and towels in the laundry area before check out.
Please be sure all dishes are cleaned, trash is in trash bins, and any moved furniture has been returned to its original location.
Check out is at 11am - unless written confirmation from owner via Airbnb stating another check out time.
Be sure to check that all doors are locked, windows are closed, and set the air-conditioner to no lower than 78 degrees
