The space

Great house, very practical and situated in a fantastic area. It accomodates 5 people as it has two double bedrooms and one smaller room with bunk beds. It has one bathroom on the top floor and one cloakroom on the ground floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with a very cosy eating area. You can park your car in the private driveway just in front of the garage where you can store your sport equipment. The garage is also equipped with a washing machine and dryer. With a southwest facing garden you can sit on the benches in the peaceful garden and relax whilst sipping a glass of wine.
Within walking distance there is a variety of pubs serving good food and good beers. One of the pubs is on the seafront.
There are a lot of paths for walking, bird watching or mountain biking along the riverfront or seafront with views of the Isle of Wight. If you are looking for peace you will find it here.
Just a short drive away is the Whitley's shopping area with all the major shops and restaurants.
For those who are looking for something special you can drive to Gosport and catch the ferry and go shopping at Gunwharf Quay or visit the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard with the Mary Rose, HMS Victory and HMS Warrior and whilst there why not go on an Harbour Tour which offers unrivalled views of Britain's modern frigates, destroyers and helicopter carriers, as well as historic buildings, sights and ships.
Winchester, Chichester, Goodwood, Southampton, Marwell Zoo, Jane Austen Chawton House, the New Forest and the South Downs with its stunning villages are just between 20 and 45 minutes drive away. And finally for the little one there is the amazing Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park just a drive away. I really hope you will enjoy it.

Guest access

You will have access to the whole house, the garden and garage.

Interaction with guests

I do not leave there so apart from welcoming you and collecting the keys when you leave I will be out of your way unless you contact me.

Getting around

The house is in a quiet residential area, there is a bus going to Southampton but it does not run very frequently. You really need a car if you wish to do some sightseeing. The train station is only 3/4 miles away and there are plenty of taxis if you wish to use trains. Once again I still believe you need a car to make the most of your time there.

We have just got home from staying in Luisa and Michaels home for the last 3 months, it is a lovely house in a quiet cul de sac, lovely neighbours, we were a day late arriving, but this was no problem to them and also delayed leaving, but they let us stay an extra night no problem, and had even invited us to their own home for a BBQ wich was very much appreciated, great hosts, Thankyou so much

The house was absolutely lovely. Poor Luisa and her husband waited for us to arrive and we were running late so we never met them, but spoke on the phone and left the house warm with lights on and very welcoming. Even had milk and cake in the fridge for us! Everything u needed in a house and more. Beds with lovely clean quality bedding, very comfortable. Soft towels, great bathroom. And extras that you'd have in your own home, like extension lead, cooking spices etc. the stuff that u wouldn't/couldn't take when selfcatering! Absolutely Would not hesitate to use again

Great house and great location. Beautiful walk to the harbor in a quiet area. Very quick drive to anything you need, also very close to many great tourist attractions. My family and I really enjoyed our stay and Luisa and Michael were a pleasure to deal with.

The host was out of town when we arrived but they made more than adequate provision for our arrival even leaving a cake and milk and other provisions.Their information manual provided very comprehensive instructions as well as places of interest and charming local eating spots and pubs to try. Their home is spotless and well equiped and everything works! Beds are comfy, sheets were clean and heating throughout the house. Spacious lounge , ample kitchen and bathroom and water pressure very good. We felt very much at home. Everything is described exactly as advertised. Quiet, civilized friendly neighbourhood and when we got to meet Luisa and Michael when they arrived back, they were such lovely, considerate and kind people and wondeful to chat to!

I like going to the theatre, art galleries and museums. I love travelling and go away as much as I can. Unfortunately recently I do not have much time for reading which I really enjoy.

My life motto is"just get on with it and do the best you can"
