The flat is located in central Tbilisi in Shota Rustaveli's district, which is a cenral district in Tbilisi. It is on the 3-rd floor.
The flat has all the necessary equipment, like big fridge, heating, ventilation, fast wireless internet connection, fireplace and balcony looking at the street.
Owners (mother and a daughter) are also living in the flat. The mother Mediko is an artist, constructor and modelling specialist and she is a lecturer of Georgian state university. Her daughter - Keti has studied art history and she is also part-time lecturer.
They are very friendly people and welcoming to guests. The room is best for a couple, it has very comfortable bed, it is clean and generally very comfortable. Apart from the room, you are welcome to use also other spaces of the flat - the owners are very hospitable and would not mind it :).
Mediko and Keti are waiting for you to show Georgian hospitality and to take care of your comfortable stay.
The breakfast and airport transfer on request!
This was a great stay. Keti and Medea were knowledgable, hospitable, and fun. This location, though not in Old Tbilisi, is wonderful and right near a metro stop and all the sights on Rustavelli. We even got to have Medea's homemade liquor and food and see Keti's wonderful art and fashion sketches. The room is comfortable and the apartment is really well decorated. The bed is large enough for two people (though it's a snug fit) but the bedroom itself is really well decorated. Our hosts were accommodating and helpful - a great experience to meet Georgian people who are proud of their country!
Very nice familiy and home. Unfortunately I had only one day to stay so I couldn't savour all the hospitality. Thank you and all the best. Jan
Our hosts, Katie and Medea (mother&daughter), did everything to make our stay comfortable. They arranged airport service without any problem. We reached the house in the middle of the night (nearly 4AM), and even in this hour they prepared us tea and cake. They helped us to organize our trip, they talked about the Georgian culture, language and history. Our room was also very comfortable and well-designed. There is nothing to say anything negative. If you go Tbilisi, you can book this room without any hesitation. It is highly recommended!!
Perfect location in the center of Tbilisi. Near to Mc.Donalds (if you get tired of Georgian food) a stone’s throw away from Rustaveli (literally) and the Metro.
Keti and Mama (we call her mama bec we cannot pronounce her name) are a perfect host! They even took care of my friend who got sick and we left her at their home while me and my other girlfriend when out for a dinner. We didn’t hesitate to leave her alone as we know that she is in good hands.
Will def recommend this to my friends who will visit Georgia.
I had a great stay with Mediko and Keti, they both went out of their way to accommodate me and make me feel at home, even when I first arrived in the middle of the night. Really nice folks, hopefully I'll see them again sometime soon :-)
Home away from home:-) Cosy, full of character and love. The only right way to describe my experience of staying with Mediko and Keti. Thank you so much! I shall be back:-)
We had a great time staying with Medea and Katy, the mother and daughter who own this flat. They arranged a family member to pick us up from the airport (for an agreed price), which saved us the stress of having to bargain with a taxi driver at 4am. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, they were very welcoming and generous and were always giving us food and drinks and advice, and generally looking after us. We ate delicious aubergine dishes, lovely home-made cornbread, and many other Georgian treats. We talked to Katy (whose English is very good) about all sorts of different things. She told us about Georgian art and architecture and helped us when planning/booking the next stages of our trip, including by letting us use their phone.
The flat itself is quite characterful. The bedroom is huge and very nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed, a small seating area, and big windows. The windows have shutters so it's very dark and quiet at night time. The bathroom isn't extremely luxurious, but it's fine. There is also a very funny cat.
The location is good. It's on a hill in a quiet area above Rustaveli Avenue, a couple of minutes away from the metro station. It's close to restaurants, shops etc. and the old town is within easy walking distance. We’d definitely recommend staying here. It was a lovely, lovely experience.
We had excellent stay with Kete et Medico. They has so many books of Georgian art, culture and history. It was very interesting to know, with their delicious and natural cooking. And they ware very kind to teach us how to go anywhere.
The flat is old but clean and very charming with eastern interior ...and a charming cat too. Well located in the center city to move anywhere.
If you love the culture and the art, I recommend you their flat.
Maddy and I had a great stay with the Koiava family.
The flat is brilliant and our room was perfect. Mother and daughter were so interesting to talk with - about history, art and all things Georgian.
Tbilisi was a fantastic base from which to go off and explore the country and coming back to the flat felt like coming home!
We were really sad to leave but will return.
Thanks so much to both of you.
