Location is really nice, very close to Syntagma square, where X95 bus from the airport stops. Parlament building and National garden are also not so far away. Great value for money. And the host Eva is really nice. She gave me good tips about the city and some tasty food to try out :)
We had a relatively OK accommodation. The studio is located in a nice area easy to reach, 10 min walk from Syntagma Square, with nice shops and restaurants in vicinity.
Since the building is on a steep hill, ground floor, where the apt is located, actually means -2. It had a nice terrace where we could have breakfast outside.
We didn't like that when we arrived the place wasn't really clean, a bit of dust just about everywhere.
Unfortunately we had a problem with the electricity. After 5 minutes of turning on the boiler the fuse went out, not the one in the apt. but the main fuse which I found it was located at -1. So for 3 days I kept running up and down every 3-5 minutes to turn the fuse back on and still ended up in taking cold showers. Mrs. Lambraki indeed gave us the key to the apt next door so we could take showers there, but kept emphasizing that it wasn't her fault, which made my wife feel somewhat awkward.
All in all the price was appropriate for the offered conditions.
Eva’s flat lies nestled in the foothills of Mount Lycabettus in one of Athens’ most desirable districts. Kolonaki sports an array of restaurants, cafes and shops and is the perfect base for spending time in this wonderful city. With attractions such as the Bernaki museum and the Botanical garden on your doorstep, and a couple of minutes walk to Syntagma square and Plaka, the location couldn’t be better. The flat itself is well laid out, comfortable and spacious, and comes equipped with all amenities and creature comforts. Opening up onto a courtyard garden with a patio area, it is bright and quiet. What really makes this place come alive though, is its wonderful host Eva. Friendly and helpful, Eva was always available for any questions or suggestions. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here if you are looking to come to Athens.

First of all, Eva was very helpful and accommodating. She even let us keep the keys while we spent some time on the Greek Islands so that when we returned, we could let ourselves right back in! The price we paid per night was also ridiculously low, so that was awesome. However, the apartment is definitely for people only on a strict budget. It didn't feel the cleanest, and was in the basement of the building so was quite dark and the hallway leading to the room had a funny smell. We accidentally popped the breaker when we left the hot water switch on for too long (20 minutes), but at least she sent someone to fix it as soon as we called her. The kitchen was very basic, but seriously, for the price, it was more than adequate. The location was fabulous and we walked absolutely everywhere, but be warned: it is up a steep incline and the nearest metro station is a 10-minute walk away. So if you are looking for luxury, look elsewhere, but if you are looking for an adequate, budget place close to all of the major sites, this place was great.
