About this listing

The space

Imagine a quiet, spacious apartment, with beautiful sunlight, just steps from the terrific restaurants and shops of this wonderful neighborhood. Near many subway stops (including the R train 1/2 block away), easy to get to Manhattan; four blocks from Prospect Park; near to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and Brooklyn Museum. You'll have the best of both worlds: you'll be in a fun, hip, laid-back neighborhood, but close to the sights and action of Manhattan!

The apartment is a duplex with two large bedrooms, two full baths, terrace, fully stocked kitchen, dw, wi-fi.

Note: On dates the apartment is marked unavailable on the calendar, one bedroom/bath in the apartment often is available (view my related listing, "Sunny, Large, Park Slope Bedroom"). You would be sharing the place with me - and my cat.

Extended stays and a willingness to take care of my wonderful cat yield a discount!

I'd greatly appreciate it if you would make an inquiry so we can e-chat for a bit before sending an offer. Thanks!

Elizabeth is an excellent host! Her apartment is very clean, comfortable, and in a great location - the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn is a very fun place to be! Her instructions and suggestions were very helpful, and she was more than gracious in sending back a few left-behind items!

What a wonderful "home away from home" for us! Both apartment and Liz were wonderful! We recommend this owner and her home highly. (And Allie the Cat is awfully cool, too!)

Liz was an accommodating host. She was easy to talk to an get a hold of. Her apartment is exactly as described. It was very spacious, clean, and met our needs perfectly. Her cat Allie was friendly and sweet we loved her. Listed instructions were clear. We would stay again in the future.

Everything was great! From the apartment to the neighborhood. Excellent connection to Manhattan via subway. The apartment is cozy and spacious, and Allie (the cat) is just adorable! It was really a great experience. Thank you Elizabeth!

Our stay in Elizabeth's apartment was a blast. After traveling all around USA and staying at different hotels it felt so good to feel comfortable as we are in our own home. The apartment is so clean and it has everything you would ever need. The cat Allie was also a bonus to have (she is very easy, calm and nice to have around). Elizabets was always there to help just a message ahead.Neighborhood is nice and safe and even it is in Brooklyn, the R train is just at the corner which makes it very easier to get to Manhattan.R was under construction and was not running weekdays when we were there, just our luck! But it was not very hard even with that.We are very glad to stay in Elizabeth's.And will definitely stay with her for the next time.

We had a wonderful time in Liz's apartment. It was comfortable, spacious, clean - and we felt right at home. Liz was super responsive and so easy to deal with. The neighborhood was lovely as well. And we enjoyed Allie :-). We'd definitely stay there again!

Staying at Elizabeth's place in Park Slope was the first time I have ever used Airbnb. From the very first inquiry I made until the day I was leaving was an absolute delight. Elizabeth was very quick to respond and easy to touch base with. My friend and I were able to spend time with her sweet cat while she was away while also enjoying the home away from home feeling during our visit. The photos certainly do not do the house justice. The view in the morning was amazing. The water pressure is lovely, the house was so clean and easy to move around in. Transportation to and from the city and different neighborhoods in Brooklyn was easy. I hope to stay in touch with her and visit again.

Elizabeth User ProfileElizabeth is a superhost.

In truth, I started with airbnb to bring in some additional funds. In reality, I never knew this could be so much fun! I love meeting people from all over the states and all over the world, including Croatia, Germany, Israel and Vermont!

If you're renting one bedroom from me, my bedroom/bathroom are upstairs, so you'll see me around breakfast; but, I work a lot and want you to feel like the place is your own - to enjoy the tv/stereo in the living room, to cook meals in the kitchen, and to come and go without feeling like you need to check in. At the same time, if you need anything from me, please let me know and I'll do my best to make it happen!

If you're renting the full place, I know you will enjoy your yourselves. The apartment is big (even by non-NYC standards); comfortable, but not pretentious. And, of course, there's Allie the cat, who is totally sweet and very people-friendly (though, sadly, she doesn't like other critters).

Let me know if you have questions. I'll be happy to host you!
