I've got a comfortable one bedroom on a pretty quiet and green street in Seattle's Central District/Capitol Hill area. It is about a 15 minute walk to the popular Capitol Hill bar scene and there is very close easy access to buses to take you around the city. Also a park to hang out in on the corner.
There is 1 bedroom with a queen sized bed, 1 bathroom, and 1 couch as well as a good sized air mattress if you need to sleep more than 2 people or if the 2 people don't want to split a bed.
Full kitchen. Wireless internet. Record player. Road bike you can borrow (make sure you lock it up). A really nice, large desk working (website hidden) with movies and some streaming services. Xbox and games. No cable tv.
As well as Capitol Hill, there are two bar restaurants within a few blocks. Madison Market Co-op and Safeway are also within close walking distance. Coffee on the corner at El Portal. And am just up the hill from Madison Valley, restaurants and shops.
Lock up the house when ever you leave. Take out your garbage, recycling, and compost before leaving. Always lock up the bike if you use it. Just generally leave it in the same clean shape you find it in and be respectful.
Lights and heat off when checking out.
Loved this place!
It was very clean... walking distance to many restaurants/bars in the area.
Kyle was a great host as well.
If you going to Seattle for a night or 2 weeks.. Id stay here.. so much cheaper than the hotels in the area too.
Kyle was very accommodating to our last minute request. It's a great location and the building is set back from the road so there really isn't any traffic noise. The only thing to note is that the apartment is on the first floor so you can hear people walking around upstairs. It's pretty minor though.
Kyles place is so amazing!!!
Location rocks. It's a short cab ride to everything. Or if you are into walking like me. It's 15 mins to all the amazing bars/ restaurants/ boutiques in capital hill.
The place itself is really cool. And it's so cozy and clean. Kyle provided everything we needed. Especially the Seattle beers!
Kyle is an amazing host. Too bad we didn't get to meet him but he seems like an awesome cook!!
So folks if you are going to Seattle and want a really awesome place to stay. Look no further!!!
The Apartment is located in a quaint beautiful neighborhood, on the outer edge of Capitol Hill. It has a safeway a couple of blocks away. I was under the impression it was closer to Capitol Hill scene, but looking at a map and seeing the hill are two different experiences!! So take that into consideration. Kyle is a great guy and was super helpful without being overbearing. Overall it was a good experience.
Kyle's apartment was comfortable, clean, safe, and located in a friendly picturesque neighborhood near Capital Hill. There are several tasty restaurants and bars within a lovely 10 minute walk of his place, and several major (and reliable) bus lines within a few blocks. His mattress was one of the most comfortable I've slept on! Kyle was easy to get in touch with, and shared lots of great tips about enjoying his neighborhood and city.
From Seattle, WA at the moment, grew up mostly in Rochester, NY and other parts of the world. I went to school in Boston, MA before moving out here where I am currently a web developer. I love the outdoors, skiing, mountaineering, traveling, hockey, music, and seeing how technology and simplicity can play nicely together. I enjoy meeting new people and have a ton of fun telling others about Seattle and making recommendations about how to enjoy the city! I've traveled around the world quite a bit and love to hear other's stories from their travels!
