The space
Welcome to the Black Forest Chalet! This stylish and well-appointed chalet is located in a gated and amenity-rich community.
Amenities include 3 lakes (w/ a sand beach), 2 swimming pools (seasonally available), tennis courts, basketball courts, soccer and baseball fields, volleyball courts and a small convenience store named Archie’s Corner located right inside the community!
Archie’s Corner is packed with all the essentials (from subs and sandwiches, to firewood, coffee, and more) that you’ll ever need without having to leave the comfort of the gated community.
During the summer season, amenity access can be easily added to reservations for $25 per guest for the duration of your stay. This optional pass covers full access to all available amenities: e.g. swimming pools, lakes, community picnic areas, tennis/basketball courts, pickleball, and more.

Bed 1 – A super comfortable Master bedroom with a King bed. The room has a 50" Smart TV for your enjoyment.
Bed 2 - Guest bedroom (Queen bed).
Bed 3/Sleeping Loft – The upstairs sleeping loft is perfect for hanging out in the day and makes an awesome and comfortable bed at night. The sleeper couch comes with a pillow top and full set of sheets and bedding for a full bed with a view. There is also a private bathroom for convenience.

An open plan living/dining/kitchen are perfect for entertaining and spending time together. 65" Smart TV is perfect for movie time. The deck is accessible right off of the main living space and makes for easy grilling. The upstairs loft has a record player and hangout area with wonderful views. The kitchen/dining area has seating for 4, filtered water and icemaker on fridge, microwave, full stove/oven, coffee maker, basic kitchen utensils and cookware. High speed internet (>300mbps).
Downstairs in the walkout basement there are two couches, a wood stove, exercise equipment, art and a ping pong table. It’s a great spot to just hang out.

This home is located in Penn Estates, which is as central of a location in the Poconos as you could possibly find! During the summer months, you will have lake and pool access, located right inside Penn Estates, just minutes from the home!
Guest access
This is a gated community. Community rules require that guests sign "short-term leases" with the community for the duration of their stay. These will be provided to guests following booking and at least 4 days prior to the arrival. To complete this paperwork, each guest must provide a copy of your drivers license and vehicle information.
Guests will be given a gate pass for the duration of their stay.
Guests can access the entire house, except for the storage room in the basement and a small closets upstairs in the loft.

Quiet Hours: To keep the mountain peace, please move the party inside and lower the volume after 11:00 PM 🌙.
Good Neighbors: Please be mindful of property lines and enjoy staying within our designated yard space 🏡.
Community Safety: Our community is full of kids and pets! Please stick to the 25mph speed limit. Security is strict, and a speeding ticket is a hefty $200—let’s keep that money in your pocket instead! 🏎️🛑
💦 Outdoor Fun & Safety
The Hot Tub: For your comfort and safety, we limit the soak to 4 people at a time 🫧.
Lake Days: Feel free to use the kayak! For your safety, life vests are required. Please remember to lock the kayak back up when you’re done 🚣.
Amenity Badges: During summer, don't forget your badges for the lake or pool! 🎟️ Since the community charges us heavily for these, there is a $200 replacement fee for any lost badges. Check-out tip: Please leave them on the kitchen counter and send us a quick photo so we know they’re safe! 📸

The Floors: We love our hardwood! To prevent scratches, please remove high heels at the door. Your feet will thank you, too! 👠🚫
Cozy Vibes: If you’re using the wood or pellet stove, please check our Guest Information Package (on the table or in your email) for easy instructions 🪵🔥.
Safety First: To keep everyone safe, we do not allow candles, fireworks, or glitter (inside or out). Let’s keep the sparkle limited to the stars! ✨
Water Usage: If you use the outdoor hose, please make sure to shut it off completely as soon as you’re finished 💧.
Deck Weight: To keep our view secure, we kindly ask that no more than 5 people hang out on the deck at once 🌲.
