The cottage is wonderful! Very comfortable and clean, we had everything we needed for our stay. We stayed for Emory graduation, which is just down the street. Kelly was also very flexible with allowing us to check out late so we wouldn't have to take our bags to graduation. Would recommend to anyone, especially those visiting students at Emory. Very convenient!
We loved our stay. Kelly was very welcoming and available for questions upon check in and through our stay. Her house was very sweet, clean and comfortable in a great neighborhood. Great hostess and house!
Returned here after a brief stay with family in another Airb&b and, again, have nothing other than good things to say of it. The cottage is charming, comfortable and in a delightful location. We awoke to birdsong and found the house to have everything we could need. Kelly is a charming, helpful and welcoming host and my only regret is that we never actually got to meet due to mutual commitments.
The house is small but beautifully formed. Our host Kelly could not have been kinder or more helpful and has provided everything you could possibly need for your stay - from coffee to very helpful books on what to do in Atlanta. There is really nothing that needs improving on in this delightful cottage in a beautiful area of leafy Atlanta.
The Candler Park cottage was a wonderful find! The cottage was comfortable and well-supplied. We loved walking around the neighborhood looking at the houses, visiting the Land Trust and feeding Lou the emu, and buying coffee and cookies at The Fkying Biscuit. Hope to return soon!
Great first AirBnb experience with Kelly! The space is as pictured with no detail overlooked. Charming and clean.
Lake Claire / Candler Park s a great intown neighborhood - several restaurants (Fellini's, La Fonda, Gato, Flying Biscuit), grocery / prepared foods (Mercantile and Candler Park Market), and coffee (San Francisco Coffee) within a safe walking distance.
I stayed at Kelly's cottage last month, and I came back again this month. It's really a great place to stay for someone who travels for business and wants a homier atmosphere than a hotel. It's a peaceful place to unwind at the end of the day. I really recommend it!
About the Host, Kelly
James and I have lived in the Candler Park/Lake Claire area of Atlanta 15+ years and love the older homes, sidewalks and small neighborhood feel. We have two children and two rescue dogs.
Our cottage was an annual rental for many years but in August 2013 we decided to try renting through airbnb and have had a great experience! We look forward to having many more guests stay at our cozy little cottage to enjoy Atlanta from one of its older historic neighborhoods.
