HOUSEHOLD & LOCATION -------------------------------------- Our three-bedroom home has hardwood floors throughout, a spacious kitchen, a large outdoor living space consisting of a large porch with a permanent roof and a large paver patio with several areas for relaxing. There is a gas grill for those who would like to use it. The back yard is fenced in and has a large koi pond. We spend most of our summer out on the back porch; you will enjoy it as well if you are here in late spring to mid fall.

Our two very friendly dogs, Abby and Lizzie will help to greet you. They roam the home and yard only when we are home; they are in their room at night and when we are at work. Feel free to socialize with them or ignore them as you please.

The house is on a quiet and residential street located in Clintonville just two minutes from I-71, SR315 and the OSU district making us centrally located to most of Columbus. Street parking is plentiful. We’re also less than 500 feet from a major bus line (COTA #2) that runs up and down High Street all day and most of the night. The Clintonville Farmers’ Market is just a few minute walk and a great place to go on Saturdays in the summer or fall. You can also run or bike on the Olentangy River Trail near the house, which covers 13 miles along the Olentangy River from downtown Columbus to suburban Worthington.

  • Great Airbnb experience! Russell and Douglas were incredibly generous and accommodating hosts. They went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed and was taken care of during my stay. There was nothing misleading about the listing and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend staying with Russell and Douglas (and the dogs)!

  • We enjoyed our stay, our host was friendly and welcoming and shared a glass of good wine with us upon arrival. The neighborhood is charming and walkable, close to the Clintonville restaurants, stores and parks.
The house is beautifully decorated and very clean. We visit Columbus often and plan to return.

  • My 17 year old daughter and I spent one night here, on our way to another destination. The house is in a pretty neighborhood and it felt very safe. Russell was home to great us upon our arrival and everything was as I expected. Clean room and bath, comfy bed and friendly dogs. I always wonder about noise levels in shared homes, and it was very quiet. The family dogs didn't make a peep when we returned after their bedtime, nor in the morning when we had to leave before they got up! The home is very comfortable and I wish we might have been there in nicer weather, as the back yard and deck look like a lovely place to sit and enjoy some time. We were given an excellent recommendation for a restaurant right down the street, the Wine Bistro.

  • I certainly enjoyed my stay with Russell and Douglas! They have a beautiful home in a nice location. The dogs were very friendly and adorable. Their home has a beautiful bathroom with lots of space. I felt right at home with them and they made sure we enjoyed our stay. I definitely recommend them if you are staying a night or two in Columbus.

  • My friend and I stayed with Russell and Douglas when we made a last-minute trip to Columbus. The communication throughout the transaction was excellent. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived, and they even provided an assortment of breakfast goodies and coffee for the next morning. The accommodations were *super* comfortable and clean, and the house was easy to find and conveniently located.

  • This stay with Russell and Douglas was our first time to try a home stay rather than a motel. Chris and I were very pleased, and will definitely explore these options again. Russell and Douglas were charming and helpful. They have even typed up a list of their favorite local eateries and tourist hot spots. The bus runs just steps from their home making transport easy for those without a car.
Their home is lovely. I enjoyed having a great cup of coffee and breakfast overlooking the beautiful deck and koi pond. Wi-Fi is available to use.
The highlight of the visit had to be the loving dogs who own Russell and Douglas. These sweet pups made us feel right at home. The pups are well trained, gentle and quiet.
There are some interesting shops and cafes within close walking distance. I picked up some Christmas gifts while out for a stroll.
