Public transit is wonderful in Louisville, and we are a block away from a major bus line that can take you downtown to the river front.
We do have pets (cats and dogs) and we keep them out of the way when we have guests.
Our room was great - clean and comfy. The in-room refrigerator and microwave were a great added convenience. Awesome shower - didn't try the steamer, maybe next trip. Wonderful amenities over all. Susan and Larry were great hosts. We were only there for two nights and out of the house for most of the weekend, so we didn't get a chance to hang out with them as much as we would have liked, but they seem like fun, interesting folks. The three dogs and cat were a bonus to us since we are pet people and miss our animal loving when we're away. Great neighborhood, plenty of places nearby to eat and cool things to do. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Louisville!
Susan was a gracious and welcoming host. the room was very comfortable and they offered a lot of nice extras. highly recommended.
Such a beautiful welcoming house! on a quiet street -- a very relaxing place to stay, and walking distance from restaurants and bars. The wine on the bedside table is a nice touch :) as is the Keurig coffee maker. Susan and her partner are kind interesting people. I will stay again if I get a chance!
I was in need of a bed on very short notice and Susan was gracious enough to accommodate me. It is a private room in a great location. Everything was clean and the shower is great. The complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch as well. I would definitely recommend Susan's house.
My wife and I decided to stop in Louisville on our way down from Chicago to a wedding in Asheville. It happened to be New Year's Eve, and Susan was wonderfully accommodating. She communicated proactively with us on our way down and made sure the house was open and accessible to us even though we arrived a bit later than expected and she'd had already headed out to a NYE party. The location is quite convenient, on a quiet side street with ample parking and walkable to a number of great bars/restaurants on Bardstown Road.
Susan and Larry were fantastic hosts! Our first experience with Airbnb couldn't have been better. Wonderful house in a great location – walkable to all of the bars and restaurants in Highlands as well as Cherokee Park, and a short drive to downtown. We can't wait to go back to Louisville and stay with them again.
Super cozy place during our snowy stay. Walking distance to everything on Bardstown Rd. which was a plus. Susan was very accommodating and I would highly recommend.
Thank you, Susan! I appreciated your warm welcome. The bed was so comfortable, the room was such a nice size and the shower was awesome! I really appreciate you having taken the time to make sure I could find good food nearby, and making me feel right at home. It was also very kind of you to leave a note for me with a way to get in touch with you if I needed to. So sweet!
super comfortable bed, hosts that are a great combination of conscientious and laid-back, and the house is within walking distance to lots of great restaurants/bars and just a short distance to everything else.
I couldn't have asked for a better experience for my first time in Louisville. I truly wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back and I would highly recommend anyone else using this site to stay with Susan:)
