Public transit is wonderful in Louisville, and we are a block away from a major bus line that can take you downtown to the river front.
We do have pets (cats and dogs) and we keep them out of the way when we have guests.
Susan and Larry are wonderful hosts! They were so welcoming and their home is very comfortable. The room was clean and the bed is fantastic! They have 2 adorable dogs that got along great with my dog that I brought with me. They have chickens in the back that give the most awesome fresh eggs I've ever had. Definitely a great place to stay. The location is awesome too!
Susan met us promptly at our agreed time. We felt very comfortable entering her home and going on a quick tour of the accommodations. The room was as pictured, bed comfortable with nice sheets. She provided all the necessary bathroom towels and warm robes. It was nice.
Fantastic first Airbnb experience! Susan was very accommodating to my schedule and honestly made me feel right at home when I arrived at her home. Such an adorable home and the location was great. I will certainly stay with Susan next trip to Louisville.
We had a great time at Susan's home. We were there for only one night, but the bed was comfortable and the steam shower was very nice.
Staying with Susan and Larry was a treat. They were gracious hosts who made us feel very welcome in their home. The room was clean and comfortable. Their home is located in a very convenient area, close to many great restaurants and shops.
If you are looking for a place to stay in Louisville, I highly recommend this one!
I arrived to Susan's later than expected (around 10pm) so did not have time to explore too much. She was awake and had the room all ready. I was able to chat with Susan for a bit about the area before turning in for the night. I wish I was there earlier as she has a complimentary bottle of wine ready on the night stand, but instead I just slept. Susan helped me with directions to Waverly Park, where I went for some mountain biking the next day. Its a beautiful house and nice neighborhood. Restaurants and shopping just a couple blocks away and made for a very easy walk to breakfast in the morning. I will definitely be back to Louisville for more exploration.
The bedroom is private and comfortable with some cool books and a tv. The bathroom (for everyone) has an amazing shower. Coffee/tea is self-serve right outside the bedrooms.
Susan’s house is extraordinarily beautiful while still being warm and welcoming. I had a wonderful conversation with Susan and Larry when I arrived and learned much about Louisville. The room was very comfortable and much appreciated after my drive of 10 hours. The house is around the corner from all the shops and restaurants on Bardstown Road, my favorite part of the city. I only stayed one night but I look forward to a longer stay during my next trip to Louisville.

I love sharing my home and listening to all of the adventuring people who come through Louisville. My home has as much farm as you can fit on a postage stamp. We raise Chickens, Bees, Tilapia and Hydroponic vegetables year round. I love to share my knowledge on Urban Farming and with a little notice I am always ready to teach bee keeping, cheese making, how to keep chickens, hydroponic set-ups, etc... I hope you will visit soon!
