The Space

This beautiful Victorian cottage is adjacent to the main house on the grounds of an old Macadamia Nut plantation. Retaining the "flavor" and comfort afforded by the main house, our Victorian Cottage is perfect for a (couple) or family desiring charming accommodations and privacy while in paradise. The main floor bedroom has a King sized "Heavenly Bed", (pillow top mattress) with 280 thread count Swiss linens. The guest bedroom located in the loft area has two twin beds. The dining area is in a screened porch looking out into the lush, private garden. There is a Weber gas grill on the patio for your enjoyment as well. • My family and I stayed at Rosemary's guest house for 4 days and it was such a wonderful get away place. The house locates in the mountains but with easy access to stores and restaurants. The house itself is very cozy and equips with everything we need. Would definitely come back again if I have chance.

  • We had a wonderful stay in this adorable cottage with a wonderful view into the mountains. Our little guy loved watching Norbert work magic with his red tractor and helping Rosemary gather fruit which she promptly shared with us. They were welcoming and helpful and the home was clean and comfortable. Nothing better than sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch to see the rain or just take in the moment. We would highly recommend this home as an alternative to the high traffic beach options because everything you need is 10 minutes away in a car!

  • This cottage was an awesome quite get away that my wife and I enjoyed very much. It was the perfect size for the both of us and the full kitchen was a great thing in order to cook some of our own meals instead of eating out for everyone. The property in which this cottage is at is also beautiful, we would book with them in again in a heart beat.

  • We had a wonderful stay in the cottage! The location is great, the cottage clean and equiped with a beautiful kitchen with all the gadgets you need and an awsome outside shower. The hosts were very helpful and courteous and we would definitely come back. Even though it was not really in our budget, it was worth every penny!

  • We stayed at the Victorian Cottage in early July and it was truly delightful. The location is great, and it is just as comfortable and charming as the photos indicate, if not more so. We were greeted with a large welcome basket filled with local snacks and a delicious organic pineapple straight from the impressive gardens. Rosemary and Norbert have created an idyllic environment and are exceptional hosts. We spent the days exploring the beautiful island, and we always looked forward to returning to the cottage for an outdoor shower and a bit of relaxation before heading back out for dinner. Be sure to take advantage of Rosemary’s spot-on recommendations for local restaurants!

  • Stayed here during work. Very nice accommodations and you could tell the host has experience as a bed and breakfast operator. I would stay again. Aloha.

  • ** Centrally located, full of amenities, beautiful grounds, excellent hosts, great value, A+ **

We loved our stay at the Victorian Cottage. We arrived to a basket of thoughtful goodies and a warm greeting from Norbert.
They honestly have thought of everything! THE BED & PILLOWS REALLY ARE HEAVENLY! We loved the outdoor shower. Full kitchen with everything you need to cook and serve. We had been paying $7+ per smoothie and when we arrived at the cottage, there was a blender, so that saved us a bundle. Plenty of linens, a washer and dryer, a tv and dvd player, I could go on and on... The place we stayed the few days before arriving here had virtually nothing and it made things a little rough. So, we were beyond pleased to arrive to such a well thought out set up.
The grounds are amazing! Norbert works hard to keep the place beautifully landscaped. It's breathtaking. Feels more like a botanical garden than a yard.
Rosemary and Norbert are unique and lovely people. They make a great team! It's inspiring. There is a special spirit about them and the place they've created. We will back! I only wish we'd stayed there the whole time! <3

  • Lovely little home at a great price! The house is well-furnished, and provides a nice opportunity to make your own meal if you need a break from consistent restaurant fare. Rosemary and Norbert are great people with a beautiful property in the hills of Kapa'a. They also provide all the supplies you need for a day at the beach (snorkel gear, boards, chairs, mats, etc.), as well as a great outdoor shower for when you return. The home also provides your own personal laundry.

    Two (very minor) heads ups:
    1. The house is across the street from a farm of some sort, and while smell is not an issue, sound can be (woke up to cows a couple days)
    2. The property is about a 10 minute drive from the main highway/downtown/shoreline of Kapa'a - so you may want to factor that in to your decision if you're planning on using Kapa'a as a "central" location to get to various places on the north or south shores.

  • This cottage really was charming, had many original features, very clean and had all the amentities you could need! A perfect introduction to the Hawaiian lifestyle and about 10 min drive to the main street of Kapaa. Would love to stay here again if we come back to Kauai'i! Mahalo!
