The north bedroom in my 3 bedroom penthouse apartment. I say penthouse because it’s the entire top floor, not because it’s a $15 million apartment with a swimming pool and helipad. :) This is Brooklyn. But I think you’ll love it for the same reasons I do: 5 trains within 5 minutes, a rooftop facing Manhattan, live music everywhere, late night restaurants, nearby McCarren park and a feeling like you’re in an actual neighborhood! 7th yr living here (4th as host) and still love it! You will too!
Be respectful of the apartment, clean up after yourself, if you have long hair please clean it out of the shower drain (as I'm bald so its not from me :) respect our neighbors, keep music at a normal level. Feel free to use the kitchen or hang out in the living room. Single guests staying longer than one week may bring individuals back overnight but must be discussed with us upon arrival. Door to your room has a lock to protect your valuables as well. Smoking is not allowed in the apartment but you can on the back fire escape, empty the ashtray when you check out.

I am the founder and owner of Ashanti Eaton, a web, print and application development company I started in Minneapolis, Minnesota where I grew up. I started it after studying abroad in Montpellier, France during my third year at the University of Minnesota and upon returning felt emboldened to really go after my dream of starting my own business. It's been going now since 1993 and I've had over 300 clients and offices in London, Prague, Minneapolis and New York.
I've lived abroad, including London for nine years (Covent Garden) and Prague for three years (Vinohrady). It's given me a much wider impression of the world than most Americans I know and I feel like my life is much richer for them!
I've moved to New York just a couple of years ago as the recession has taken its toll on my business just like everyone else's and keeping our Prague office open wasn't viable anymore. I'm trying to keep costs down so renting out the extra room while we gain new clients and make an impression here.
I like to spend time with my friends and when I'm home I tend to keep to myself and recharge the batteries and creative write as a hobby. I'm working on a few long form stories and a concept for a graphic novel.
