The view to the street during the summer but minor difference is that air conditioner hadn't been installed. It is currently in the room.

The north bedroom in my 3 bedroom penthouse apartment. I say penthouse because it’s the entire top floor, not because it’s a $15 million apartment with a swimming pool and helipad. :) This is Brooklyn. But I think you’ll love it for the same reasons I do: 5 trains within 5 minutes, a rooftop facing Manhattan, live music everywhere, late night restaurants, nearby McCarren park and a feeling like you’re in an actual neighborhood! 7th yr living here (4th as host) and still love it! You will too!

This was a great place to stay. The neighbourhood is fantastic, full of places to eat and drink. Martin provided a complete guide beforehand with some top tips and was friendly and responsive before and during my stay. The apartment is perfect for a stay in New York - I'll definitely come back.

Martin's place was amazing! Beautiful room in a upcoming neighborhood. Great to walk around and find cool places, like the free rooftop in front of Output, and the best barbecue place in the world : Mable's! Read all Martin's recommendations! He was great and let us have our space like if we were home :) thank you!

Great location. No rooftop view unless you're prepared to risk your life climbing a ladder to the roof.

The place was A+, I would definitely recommend it if you are looking to stay in the Brooklyn area. Great restaurants close by like Traif which had the best food. Loved my short stay at Martin's, can't wait to visit Brooklyn again.

I am the founder and owner of Ashanti Eaton, a web, print and application development company I started in Minneapolis, Minnesota where I grew up. I started it after studying abroad in Montpellier, France during my third year at the University of Minnesota and upon returning felt emboldened to really go after my dream of starting my own business. It's been going now since 1993 and I've had over 300 clients and offices in London, Prague, Minneapolis and New York.

I've lived abroad, including London for nine years (Covent Garden) and Prague for three years (Vinohrady). It's given me a much wider impression of the world than most Americans I know and I feel like my life is much richer for them!

I've moved to New York just a couple of years ago as the recession has taken its toll on my business just like everyone else's and keeping our Prague office open wasn't viable anymore. I'm trying to keep costs down so renting out the extra room while we gain new clients and make an impression here.

I like to spend time with my friends and when I'm home I tend to keep to myself and recharge the batteries and creative write as a hobby. I'm working on a few long form stories and a concept for a graphic novel.
