Our lovely one bedroom apartment has all the amenities of a by gone era. Built in oak hutch in bedroom. Original tub and pedestal sink with newly added stall shower. Fireplace in living room and a complete small kitchenette and lovely sit out porch. This apt is approximately 1/3 of our home and was redone for our daughter after college.

Built in 1903 and moved from downtown Santa Maria in 1981 this Frank Lloyd Wright home has been our home ever since.

You will have a full 3 room apartment. You enter from its own private entry, with parking. It has a lovely large bedroom with king size bed, a huge bathroom with original tub and original pedestal sink, as well as stall shower and extra closet. The mini kitchen is fully equipped, microwave, stove as well as mini frig. There is a lovely living room with comfy sitting as well as a beautiful outside porch for your relaxation and enjoyment.

We live in the midst of farm country on three and a half acres. We are less than a mile from Rancho Maria Golf Club, a public welcome 18 hole, club. A mile and a half in the other direction to old town Orcutt which is host to at least 5 tasting rooms and several really good restaurants including the renowned Far Western Tavern, which just relocated to their beautiful new building in Orcutt after over 60 years in Guadalupe. Variety is abundant with Japanese, Italian, Mexican, Pizzeria, and of course good old American, all within walking distance of each other.

Too many vineyards to name surround our area as well as the beautiful strawberry fields. We are right on old Cabrillo Hwy or Hwy One as it is known today. You can visit the Oso Flaco Dune preserve at the beach in nearby Guadalupe, a 10 min drive. A very interesting and peaceful nature preserve.

The beach cities, heading north, are Pismo and Avila, and are 15 to 20 minutes away with the city of San Luis Obispo a quick 35 minutes away. Heading south you have Los Alamos, 15 minutes away and the Danish town of Solvang about 25 minutes. Terrific pastries! Los Alamos is loaded with wine tasting and art exhibitions. A great afternoon excursion.

Morro Bay and Hearst Castle will give you a terrific day of sight seeing.

Lots to do or just relax and enjoy the country.

You will have access to a quiet shaded yard and a sitting porch to have a leisurely breakfast or lunch.

We have a large dog and a cat which unfortunately would make it uncomfortable for another visiting animal. FYI there are horses in close proximity to our property. We are a non smoking family so please refrain. This is a relaxed, quiet country environment so not the best choice for partying. out 100 gal 1903 tub is being temporarily retired for the time being due to the drought.

The apartment is comfortable. Location is remote but within walking distance of Orcutt. Kay's is a great breakfast restaurant. Rooney's Irish Pub is also very nice. We had a great steak dinner at the Hitching Post up the road a bit in Casmalia. Vickey was there to meet us and was very helpful.

Great quit place to chill and read a book. Close to beautiful and quaint downtown Orcut. Great shops, winery's and brewery's just up the road. Vicky was great. The home is a very old home so expect it to be authentic old school house. It's quaint and had a ton of character.

Vickey's home is historic and the perfect respite for a weary traveler. I chose the home for its convenience to Vineyards and to enjoy a break from my Orange County experience. What I got was a place that I believe is a place I'll return. Vickey is a terrific host and her husband me is perfect for one or two. The kitchen was well equipped for our breakfast needs and she even left us snacks! I would highly recommend.

Very kind hosts. Great location. Comfortable bed. No lock on apartment doors (internal from rest of home or external). Walkthrough bathroom has unusable tub and no sink (sink is in bedroom). Odors throughout apartment and is quite dusty. Very small kitchenette.

Gee I guess you really can't please everyone. Doors have locks. Tub is not used because of draught and that is disclosed on site Kitchenette is exactly as represented.

Over the past 20 years, after retirement, Ed my husband extraordinaire, has been busy renovating this old house. We moved it from down town Santa Maria in four separate pieces and it has been quite a labor of love restoring it. (lots of labor!!) I am a recently retired realtor and really enjoying my freedom. We love to go to SLO for Sunday afternoon forays, lunch and a movie and the great book store. Spend quite a bit of time in SB since our daughter lives there. Getting our feet wet with travel these last couple of years and loving it. P.S. this is a picture of myself and my son Pryor
