About This Listing
Share my big, bright, off-street suite, perfectly located in downtown Menlo with walkable access to anything that matters, including downtown Palo Alto and it's famous Stanford campus, plus covered off-street parking and your own bicycle.
Share with me — and only me — no roommates, no other guests, almost like having your own apartment, with your own private bedroom & bath, total access to a big living room, dining room, fully-stocked kitchen, a shelf in the fridge, TV, WiFi and a stationary exercise-bike. For your car, an off-street parking-space, or get around on my bicycle, or, for an extra fee, my car is available on a trip-by-trip basis.
The quiet 1500-SqFt space is completely furnished, on top-floor with high ceilings and big windows on both sides for maximum bright light. The bed accommodates two (small surcharge for double-occupancy). The entrance involves climbing only ten steps but could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues.
The neighborhood is downtown and upscale: cafes, restaurants, bars, three name grocery-outlets, theater, banks, drugstore, train/bus stations, shuttles — any place that matters is walkable. Near Silicon Valley with downtown Palo Alto and it's famous Stanford campus an only half-hour walk away, 10-minutes on a bike. Also located right between three major cities and three major airports, each 45-min away.
As a telecommuter, I'm usually around to help with directions and recommendations, helping visitors find their way and improve their stay. Prefer guests with outside interests but it's not mandatory.
Interaction with Guests
I can be as invisible as necessary.
The guest makes the rules.
Paul was great. Gave us some great pointers for the local area. He is very friendly and accommodating and the place was just as described. Cheers!
Paul was great, very accommodating and helpful. He gave me good recommendations for dining and also pointed out a great jogging path.
I have stayed with Paul before and hope to have the opportunity to stay at his place again. It is a perfect location and he is a great host.
This was my second time staying with Paul. Again, Paul was a gracious host, and staying with him was a joy. I only regret that I didn't have as much time to hang out with Paul this time around.
About the Host, Paul
I'm single, flexible, tolerant and live alone ... and try to help guests maximize their stay in the most exciting, interesting, multifaceted area of the country, all year round. BTW ... if you need it, you can use my bike to get around. Your room is ready. — Paul
