This area is easy to get around.
This unique home, built in the 1920s, has recently been renovated while not sacrificing the decor and fixtures it was built with. Sitting on the campus of The John Hay Center in the historic district of Salem, Indiana, every morning you will wake up to history right outside your window. The house is flanked by our 1820s Pioneer Village and the Birthplace of John Hay.
The home is a short walk from Salem's iconic Public Square, filled with businesses, restaurants, and the Monon South Trail.

Other things to note
This home is presently owned by the Washington County Historical Society/The John Hay Center.
It has been kept as original as possible to maintain the historic nature of the structure, that includes a lot of the kitchen and bathroom fixtures, the furniture, hardware, and more. The 1920s Annex is made to feel like you've stepped back into the past while still enjoying the comfort of being in the 21st century!
