Great spot for travelers heading into the mountains. We offer CAMPING on the Stanislaus River, near Knights Ferry, Ca. • We had a fun time staying in the trailer. Michael and his wife were very nice. They let us use their Stand Up Paddle boards and even gave us a cooler for our trip to Yosemite. We met some locals rafting down the river and they gave us tips for traveling to Yosemite. Michael drew us a map to Big Sur on our way out. Free coffee and tea, which we didn't even use. Terrific spot & hosts!!

  • Mike and Nancy were both very gracious hosts. They were attentive, considerate, and knowledgeable about the area. They provided for use of a canoe and stand up paddle boards, which was unexpected. The space was well kept and much nicer and larger than is depicted in the photos. I definitely recommend for couples and groups.

  • This is an awesome place to stay right on the Stanislaus River. Mike let me use his paddle board and life jackets. The trailer was really nice. It was our first time in a trailer and both me and my wife loved it. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything that you could possibly need. Mike and his wife were very helpful and nice!

  • Great location for Oakdale (would recommend going to the Rodeo!) and start of lovely drive into Yosemite. A new experience staying in a trailer, very clean and well equipped. Hosts were welcoming and friendly, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful riverside lawn.

  • OMG that's what you will say while walking down the path to the campsite. The pictures don't do it justice. The hosts are gracious and want to make your stay memorable. The river is cold but all else is magnificent. Town is just minutes away and the scenery beautiful. Looking forward to returning.

    Response from Michael:

Thank you Donna. And yes the river is cold. About 52 to 56 degrees depending on the time of year. After jumping in, On a hot day the after glow stays for a good hour. Now that's refreshing.
