This beach condo (unit 304) is located in the Islander, Destin, Florida, along the Emerald Coast with restaurants, championship golf, shopping centers, charter boat fishing, and amusement parks.
This unit has 2 bed rooms and 2 baths. accommodates up to 6 people with a king in the master bedroom, 2 twin beds in the guest bedroom, and a sleeper sofa in the living room. This unit has carpet throughout. Beach is just steps away from the building. You will have beautiful views of Gulf of Mexico from your master bedroom, living area, kitchen and private balcony.
There are always somethings fun to see as you watch the ocean and beach area. Through a private Gate you walk to our beach region. Two free beach chairs with one large umbrella are reserved for you. With your VIP card there will be large saving in restaurants, championship golf, shopping centers, charter boat fishing, amusement parks etc.

Similar to many people, we fell in love with this place when we visited Destin FL for the first time. Since then we noted this place became more and more attractive.
***THE RENT PRICE***
THE RENT PRICE OF THE UNIT IS NEGOTIABLE and varied with seasons and time of a stay. The day rate is shown on the calendar if a stay is for 3 days. Minimum stay required is 3 nights.
The base price is $91 per night for a stay for 3 nights during the period from Jan. 1 to Feb. 28 of 2015.
From Jan 1 to Feb. 28 of 2015 weekly rate is $528 ($75.43 per night), monthly rate is $1500 ($50 per night). From March 1 to March 13 of 2015 weekly rate is $708 ($101 per night). From March 14 to April 5 of 2015 weekly rate is $918 ($131.3 per night). From April 6 to May 22 of 2015 weekly rate is $708 ($101.14 per night). From May 23 to Aug. 2 of 2015 weekly rate is $1649.50 ($235.64 per night). Aug. 3 to Aug. 31 of 2015 the weekly rate is $1093 ($156.14 per night). From Sep 1 to Sep 30 of 2015 the weekly rate is $764 ($109.14 per night). From Oct 1 to Oct. 26 of 2015 the weekly rate is $883 ($126.14 per night). From Oct. 27 to Dec 31 of 2015 weekly rate is $528 ($75.43per night), monthly rate is $1500 ($50 per night).
All the prices INCLUDE tax (11%) and fees for once deep cleaning ($105) and damage insurance ($9 per day), BUT DOES NOT include a booking fee charged by AirBNB. This fee can be varied in different websites. Since the rental prices are subjects to change without notice, negotiations are welcome.
The person making the reservation must be 25 years or older and must occupy the unit during the entire length of the reservation. The Islander is a family friendly condominium and we do not rent to guests under the age of 25 without a parent or guardian (ID must be supplied at check-in). Any reservation made under false pretenses will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment and will not be allowed to check in.
Payment: A minimum advance payment of $300 is required on a credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover) at the time the reservation is made. The remaining balance is due upon check in. In addition to the credit cards listed, The Islander accepts cashiers checks, money orders and cash. When you arrive, a credit card will need to be manually swiped by the staff for incidentals and any damage sustained to the unit during your stay. A booking fee of $35 will be incurred when booking through the Islander Rental Office. This fee is waived by booking online.

Check in: The front desk is open 24-hours for your convenience. Check in time is after 3 pm. Due to our high standards of cleanliness, not all units may be ready for check in promptly at 3 pm. We ask for your patience and recommend you have alternate plans in the event your unit is not ready at 3 pm. You are welcome to use the pools or go to the beach while you wait.
Check out: Check out time is 10 am. A late check out fee up to $100 may be charged to the credit card on file if you have not vacated the unit in a timely manner. After 2:00 p.m., an additional days rent will be charged to your reservation. Upon your departure, we ask that you run your dishwasher and take out any garbage. The unit keys need to be returned to the front desk when you depart. A $75 plus tax fee will be assessed for any keys not returned. Safe keys are $150 plus tax.
Rates: Rates are subject to change without notice. All reservations are subject to Florida’s 11% tax and a $95 cleaning fee.
Cancellation: Cancellations outside of 30 days of the arrival date will receive a refund of the advance payment, less the $35 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date will not be refunded the advance payment. Long term, seasonal reservations must cancel by September 1st.
Housekeeping/Linen: Your unit will be cleaned before you check in. The initial supply of toilet paper (2 rolls/bathroom), bar soap (2/bath), paper towels (1 roll), dishwashing detergent (2 packs) and garbage bags (1/can) are provided. There will be 4 beach towels provided in each unit. The Islander can provide additional maid service at the guest's request for a nominal cleaning fee. The Islander does provide a complimentary towel exchange, please check with the front desk for the dates. On other days, an exchange for clean linen can be arranged at the front desk for a nominal fee.
Parking: Each unit is allowed 2 parking spaces. Each vehicle will need to visibly display their parking pass in the front windshield. Vehicles without valid passes are subject to towing. Boats, jet skis, trailers, etc. must be parked by the tennis courts on the north side of the lot. Should parking become limited, guest vehicles will take priority over recreational vehicles (boats, RVs, etc.)
Pets: Pets are not allowed at The Islander. Failure to comply will result in a $150 fine per day of the infraction.
Laundry: The Islander has a coin-operated laundry room located on the 2nd floor available to all of our (website hidden)-B-Que Pits: Bar-B-Que pits are provided for your enjoyment, no personal Bar-B-Ques are allowed.
Non-smoking: All units at The Islander are non-smoking and violating this policy will result in a $500 charge.
I had very limited contact with host, however, the front desk folks at the Islander were very pleasant and friendly. The property is gated and beautifully maintained.
Mr Yu was fantastic. He always replied to us quickly and when we were accidentally charged twice he got it fixed before we could get back to the desk! The unit is a bit farther from the beach than we like but the view from the balcony was very nice. We watched dolphins playing in the water with our breakfast every morning. The location of the unit from an elevator is a bit inconvenient but is doable. The beds are comfortable. The tv in every room is convenient. The kitchen was stocked with plenty pots and pans. If I had one suggestion it would be to replace carpet with tile and replace sliding shower doors with curtains that can be washed more easily. I believe the Islander charges $100 cleaning fee so I would have expected the showers to be clean but instead there was mold on the tiles. I don't blame mr Yu, I blame the cleaning crew. Other than that we were very happy with our stay. Love love love destin Florida and thank you Mr. Yu for letting us stay at your condo!
could use a little update on the interior however considering the price, it is a great deal. will recommend this place to anyone and definitely will go back again in the future.
Really good experience at this condo. Close proximity to the beach... Very clean and the best I've seen on this sight for the money. Right across the street from a Target and lots of restaurants (do yourself a favor and visit the Louisiana Lagniappe, 2 min drive from this condo).
The ONLY negative to the entire trip, the beds. I'm not a picky/high maintenance person but they were hard as a rock and uncomfortable. All 3 of them. Other than that, it was perfect.
This was a great little beach condo. We could walk right to the beautiful, white sandy beach in less than a minute. Everything was clean, and we had plenty of space for 6 people. We would definitely stay here again.
Loved our stay. This is home for us but we love to actually stay at the beach when visiting. This is perfect for our families who were both staying and visiting from nearby. Condo had everything we needed. Add in Coastal Crib Rentals and all we had to provide was ourselves, food and essentials. Wish The Islander had a children's playground and water play area. More than enough room for each. A large fire pit would have also enhanced the stay! We were able to make do with the tiki grill though for s'mores. Kids did love the activities provided. Another wish list item might be using the lawn for family movies at night. Might cut down on the adult partying and fighting we witnessed. Also enjoyed being close enough to the pass to enjoy all the boat, parasail, jet ski and airplane activity. Walking down to the jetty at sunset is also a beautiful plus. Being off 98 is nice. Only have to cross and you are right at the grocery store. Also, short drive to Harbor Walk, restaurants and other local favorites so you don't have to deal with traffic too much - a local nightmare. This is a visit we do multiple times throughout each year and we will be looking at airbnd as well as The Islander for great deals in the future. Extremely easy and convenient website service!
