Interaction with Guests
I am happy to offer Austin recommendations specifically tailored to your interests. A week before your arrival, I will be in touch to provide check in directions.
East Austin is a diverse, hip area full of unique bars, restaurants, and shops. Andrew and I have lived here since 2005 and can't imagine living anywhere else in town (we actually did for a hot second, but came back as soon as we could!). The Cesar Chavez/2nd Street neighborhood is a rapidly changing area. It's a fantastic mix of new and old businesses, long-time residents and recent arrivals. Here, you'll see folks sitting on their front porches, bbq-ing in their backyards, walking their dogs, or riding their bikes. Wave and say 'howdy' - you're in Texas!
Though this location is quite walkable to many Austin hotspots, Austin is also a very easy city to get around. Rent a bike from a B-Cycle station, ride the Capital Metro, or take an Uber or Lyft. If you're out on East 6th or Rainey, you can also grab a pedicab to take you home at the end of the night.

HOUSE RULES -
No parties, no loud music, no smoking inside the house. Only the number of guests you reserved should be at the house - any number over is considered a party. Austin's noise ordinance states no loud activity after 10:30pm. Please be respectful of our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum after that time - especially while in the backyard.
Smoking outside is fine, but please dispose of all cigarettes in the outside trash cans before you leave. If the house smells like smoke, you will be charged the security deposit.
Wine, beer, coffee, and tea are provided for you. Please be respectful.
Very simple check out guidelines are provided in the Welcome Packet - we ask that you follow these before checking out of the house. We will claim the security deposit for any excessive cleaning (if the cleaning crew requires more than 3 hours).
If any violations of these house rules occur, you will owe the full deposit.
Thank you and enjoy your stay.
We had an amazing time at Crystal's house!! Very comfortable with everything that you would need to cook meals or just relax after a long day of taking in all that Austin has to offer. We were close to great restaurants and nightlife. We were a party of two couples with lots of room. We would definitely rent Crystal's house again!!!
Absolutely wonderful home in a fantastic location! Host was super responsive and helpful. I can't imagine a better stocked, nicer place in Austin! Can't wait to return.
Rented the house for a bachelorette and it was fabulous! The house was spacious and had great amenities; wish I had the opportunity to cook more in the kitchen with the gas range! Crystal was very responsive with feedback and was accommodating when we had to alter our plans a bit. The house was centrally located and we had a great time checking out her suggested places to see in Austin! Would definitely recommend the house to others looking for a home base to visit Austin.
Crystal is a super host and my favorite Airbnb yet. She left a detailed welcome packet for us and of course a lovely bottle of wine. There was also plenty of condiments in the fridge, spices in the pantry and coffee/tea/sugar, as well as a bunch of liquor left over from guests. I was celebrating my bachelorette party with 4 friends and the house and location was perfect for us! We used Uber around downtown and rented a car to go hiking in the Balcones National Park. The bathrooms were also stocked with leftover toiletries from past guests, many of them full and the full size bottles Crystal provides were great! Towels, sheets, tons of pillows and robes were all amazing. All you need to bring is your toothbrush! Even big day bags were in the pantry for Barton springs or hiking trips. Our neighbor Juan, is hilarious, you won't miss him. He's always out in his yard with his rooster, chickens (baby chicks too), 2 pits, and a chihuahua, say "Hola" for us! We loved Counter Culture for super filling and cheap gourmet vegan, half a mile from the house and Whisler's Bar was one of our favs nearby. Austin rocks and we made sure to keep it weird! Check out our bassist friend Christopher Alexander, he plays a lot of local bars like Maggie Mae's!
Crystal made us feel very welcome and she was very responsive to any questions or needs we had. The house is lovely, just as the pictures show and well equipped with linens etc. The only downside is the neighborhood. It is very close to a bar with live music on the weekends until about 2:00 am. It was loud and cars and people from the bars park and walk beside and in front of the house. If you like to party until the wee hours it is perfect. A mid week stay is probably quieter. It is an inexpensive Uber ride to downtown though!
Although this was our first time to Austin Krystal and the accomodation far exceeded anything we expected. The house was amazing, had everything we needed and easily catered for our group of five. Krystals personalised recommendations note was helpful and provided us with plenty of local gems.
Would definitely stay here again. Loved Austin and Krystal helped more than we could ask for.
Crystal's beautiful home was exactly as the description and pictures promised it would be. The house was spacious and clean and well appointed with lots of thoughtful touches. We used uber to get around, which was easy and efficient, as nothing was more than 15 minutes away. After exploring during some pretty hot August days, we looked forward to returning to our comfy and cool house. I highly recommend Crystal's place if you're heading to Austin.
