A lovely clean, bright, single room in a friendly house, this room would suit for either a short term visit or we are happy to have longer term guests as well
A lovely bright clean single room, in a friendly Dublin house. This room would suit somebody looking for either a short term or long term let. The house is a 1930's period property and would be fairly typical of the type of house that a lot of Irish people live in. I work from home a lot, so will be here to help you out with any questions you might have. You will have total freedom of the house, and will have a front door key so you can come and go as you want, and when you are not out exploring the city you are welcome to use the kitchen to cook in, or the sitting room to curl up by the open fire, with our old dog and slightly mad cat, and a good book, or watch some telly or avail of the Wifi. If the weather is good you can sit out in the very private garden and even have a BBQ if you like. Located about 4 km from the city centre, in a quiet residential area, which has a late night Supermarket, Post Office, Chemist, and Parks on the doorstep, and a selection of Pubs and Restaurants about 15 mins away. Or if you want to pop in to the city the bus stops at the end of our little cul de sac and will have your there in about 25 mins. The room itself is really nice , it has lots of little extras like a kettle , tea, coffee and biscuits if you fancy a late night smack , maps of the area so you won't get lost , practical things like an electric blanket to keep you cosy, towels and extra bedding . Breakfast is included in the price , I provide a selection of items i.e. brown bread, eggs, yogurt, honey, cheese, butter ,tea, coffee, fruit, etc and you are welcome to cook it at anytime that suits you . I am happy to do either short term or long term just let me know what suits. ....Just to let you know my house is a normal Dublin house, it is not a hotel or hostel, but I do try really hard to help you feel at home here, and to give you as much info as you need to get about Dublin and Ireland if you want to go further, So I look forward to your visit ...And really you will not get better value anywhere else ...GREAT VALUE !!!!

There are lots of buses from my road to the city center approx 25 mins and also across the city if needed
No smoking in the house please, you can smoke in the garden, clean your dishes after you use them and just keep things tidy .....thank you
Barbara was a good host , the house was really nice and the bed very confortable! I stayed there for three nights.
It is 20 minutes to the city center by bus.
Un bon accueil, une maison très agréable et un lit très confortable!
J'y suis restée 3 nuits.
Il faut compter 20 minutes pour arriver au centre ville en bus.
Barbara is the best host you could ask for. Extremely welcoming, kind, and most importantly helpful. I lived in her home with her for two months and I can honestly say it was some of the best two months of my life. The home was just as I expected and perfectly comfortable and well equipped. After long days at work the dog, Phoebe, and cat, Tuna, were the perfect company. Barbara's home exemplifies the amazing experience to be had in Dublin (just a short bus ride down the road). I would not have wanted my trip to be any different! Lovely woman, lovely house, lovely city!
I loved staying at Barbara's. Unfortunately I've been sick most part of my Dublin trip, so I couldn't enjoy the city too much. Fortunately I was staying at Barbara's and I find peace to rest and recover.
Barbara is a beautiful person and her house is really warm!
Barbara's place was excellent! Clean, quiet, and lovely! I would definitely recommend people to stay at her house!
My stay at Barbara's house was great. She is such a welcoming host and ever so helpful.I really enjoyed my short stay there. I would recommend this place to everyone and definatley come back.
My time in Dublin was very short (less than 48 hours) but staying at Barbara's home was the best choice! Very friendly person and peaceful atmosphere. The house was nothing but GREAT and the room was clean and cozy. Kitchen fully equipped not only for a tea but also for breakfast and dinner. No Photoshop or any "marketing trick" as what you see in pictures is what you get in real life including the room. Well connected with city bus. Barbara made all arrangements to hire a taxi for my business meeting early morning. Gave me great tips for short visit to Dublin as well as airport transportation by bus. Weather did not allowed me to enjoy garden but staying inside was very nice.
Staying with Barbara while in Dublin was a GREAT choice! Her house was one of the cutest, most quaint houses I've ever stayed in - absolutely fell in love with it!
Barbara really offers a great "B&B" experience by providing not only a clean house, but a "fully-stocked" room & kitchen, breakfast items, and a friendly environment.
She is a great host, and was so nice about offering me tips for enjoying my time in the city, and helping me get where I needed to go.

Hi I'm Barbara, and I am a great fan of AIRBNB , I first used it myself to find accommodation in Brooklyn a while ago, and it was such a good experience I decided to become a host, and now I am a total convert. I have been letting out a room on either a long or short term basis for many years , but just love the Airbnb way of doing things. My favorite things are travel and anything art/design/craft related, My background is as a theatre designer, but these days I run a small home based business making hand made craft kits for kids,.........Planet Purple Kids.........I love meeting new people from different parts of the world, and would like you to feel at home here. ....If you are new to airbnb and maybe a bit nervous, go on try it , really it is so much better than any standard bnb or hostel
