Alexander's place is exactly like the pictures show. We loved being able to walk out of the building right on the beach. The place was perfect for our little family of 4. He provided beach towels and other amenities. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Unit 601. No check in, just straight to the room and then the beach! No key, digital built in lock with auto time out so locks itself. Also chain. I was surpised at how decent the place was after reading the other reviews. It is an older place, so think '70s and you will be pleased. This is clearly reflected in the price, to your advantage. It is clean, even for all of the ongoing construction in the lobby. We were pleasantly suprised to find it had a full sized fridge. Very clean microwave, dishes and silverware, even a panini press! The elevator to the pool/beach is separate from the room elevator but both reach your floor. Shower head was adjustable with one setting hard enough that you could rinse trapped sand out of your suit. I was there with my 18 yr old daughter and felt safe enough. Menus on top of fridge made chosing meals fun and less stressful. Ate at Crabby Joes (2-3 blocks away) on the pier for lunch and dinner, slept through their super inexpensive breakfast but saw the menu with offerings from $3 to $10. They have a custom omlet chef on the weekends. Sit and eat in the middle of the ocean and listen to waves roar under the wood floor boards. Or sit at an open air table or bar open window and watch everything on the beach. Sushi within 10 minute drive. Boogie board in closet made even this fifty year old woman try it, and it was a blast! Gift shop across the street had everything, and the owner had loads of good ideas for attractions across the state including groupon deals and feeding/holding baby alligators at one of the local putt putts. Daily umbrella and beach chair rental was available on the beach daily but we just picked up a couple chairs from WalMart for cheap. Salt water is hard on stuff, so dont expect outdoor furnature to be pristine; our new chairs began rusting after only two days at the beach. Good choice on the owners part for all plastic low aderondack type chairs for the balcony. No better beach access around. Beds were comfortable enough, wifi was a bit slow. But if you are into it, the condo and the gift shop across the street are both Poke stops as is Crabby Joes and my daughter caught loads of pokemon while we were there, especially water ones. This is a good, inexpensive place to stay right on the beach. Balcony view was fabulous with both ocean (east) and river (west). Best location for beach safety as it is right next to the lifeguard main building. AC was cold and worked perfectly. When off, could hear the ocean waves. Parking was never a problem due to permit only use. If you are expecting the Ritz, go pay for that. I would definately stay here again, and hope to before rennovations/updates are completed and the price goes up!

This is an older property, and the lobby is undergoing major renovations, which we were unaware of until arrival. The unit was OK given the age, not exceptional. Not a scenic room, but basic comforts. Be aware that the balcony overlooks the beach ramp on the north side of the building, so it was generally hot and blocked from any breezes during our stay. The location is convenient to both Daytona and Ponce Inlet areas. We moved to an ocean front room for the last night of our stay, and it was nicer. Booked directly with the front desk. For the $30 difference, maybe less with a longer booking, we would make that choice next time. We did like the combination electric lock on this unit, but it raised a concern about security. Overall, I would rate it average for the price.

My name is Alexander Lerner. I'm 50 years old. I lived in New-York for many years and visited Florida on many occasions and I love it there with all beautiful beaches, nice people, good weather, pelicans and singing birds. One day I sad to myself - it would be nice to move in Florida. And I bought condo hotel unit for my family. We were coming back and force for several years and we love it there. After hurricane Sandy hit New-York and we suffered in our building next to the ocean when whole area got flooded, I realized it is time for us to move South. I invite everybody to come visit my condo and enjoy tropical weather.
