I have a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom + den apartment of which both of the bedrooms are available for a short/long term stay. This is a master room with a queen size bed, extra firm mattress. I can provide a mattress topper if you prefer a softer mattress. There is a large beautiful glass desk with a comfy chair. The room has 2 large closets along with a private bathroom and shower. A large window facing the street. There is a smart plasma t.v. with cable along with a heater. The place is fully furnished and I provide you with linens and towels.
Both the Metro bus and Santa Monica Blue bus stops are about 30 feet away, both stops are literally in front of the building. (please do a search online for specific routes). Off Wilshire Blvd you can take the Metro 28 (stops at every stop), or the Metro 720 (rapid bus and makes limited stops) or the number 2 Big Blue bus. The fares range from $1 (Big Blue Bus) to $1.50 (Metro). If you prefer you can walk south for a block and take Santa Monica Blvd which has the Metro bus number 4 (stops at every block) and the 704 (rapid bus and makes limited stops) as well as the Big Blue Bus number 1 (which takes you to Westwood/UCLA) The unit is 5 blocks away from Bank of America, the post office and the library. 2 blocks away from the grocery store (Vons) and about 7 blocks from Trader Joe's. There are also many restaurants withing walking distance (Japanese, Indian, sushi, pizza, hamburgers and more) all on the trendy Wilshire area with boutiques, coffee shops and yoga studios. Don't forget the Sawtelle area also know as Little Osaka, which also has restaurants withing walking distance (Japanese, Korean barbecue, sushi, noodle house, pizza and more).
Go hiking in the Santa Monica/Brentwood mountains, surfing in the ocean, visit the Santa Monica Pier and 3rd Street Promenade. Malibu, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Venice, The Getty Museum, LACMA, Chinese Theater, Hollywood Bowl, Walt Disney Concert Hall and Griffith Observatory. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
My location is very user friendly, a car is not necessary for most places, you can walk, bike or take the bus most everywhere. However, please do your research about specific tourist areas you want to visit to get an accurate idea of how far away a place is from the unit and don't forget to check the map section of the listing or do a search by map on here. Remember, search engines are your friends :). Santa Monica Beach is about 10-15 minutes away by bus. Hollywood is about 20 minutes away. 13 miles/24 kilometers from downtown Los Angeles and 11 miles/17.7 kilometers to LAX (Los Angeles Airport. If you are driving, the 405 and 10 freeway are right next door :) If you do drive, you can use my parking space and on the rare occasion I do have a car (I rent one once in a while) you can park on the street as there is plenty of free parking as well as metered parking.

Interaction with Guests
I really appreciate guests letting me know what their expectations are in terms of level of interaction. I have a regular job as well as 4 listings and I always make an effort to be as available as I can. However, I am not a mind reader and cannot guess which guests are more self sufficient and which are not. Please don't be afraid to speak up and let me know your needs :)
Other Things to Note
Please note that close proximity to the bus stops is great but it comes with noisy disadvantages. I just moved to this apartment which is just a few feet away from the Wilshire bus stops so if you are a very very light sleeper, like me :( you'll probably need earplugs.
No shoes inside please. If you must wear shoes, slippers or flat sandals are o.k.
No loud noise after 10 p.m. Please keep in mind this is a shared space so if you are having a fight on the phone with your significant other rest assure I will hear it :(
Do not leave lights on in the room when you're out. It waste electricity and the bill skyrockets.
Guests are responsible for cleaning after themselves, i.e. dishes and pans used in the kitchen, for long term stays (bedding, comforter and towels if I provide them)
Lastly, if you break something please let me know asap. You have the option of replacing it yourself or paying a fee directly to me.
No guests overnight or otherwise please.
No eating huge messy meals inside room. I'm sure you as a guest would prefer a roach and ant free accommodation and I also like my home roach and ant free so please follow this rule. Please throw away your trash in the kitchen.
Please do not go through my things. This is my home and expect all my guests to be as respectful as I am. I do not go through your things so please don't go through mine.
My stay in the LA area was short but this was by far one of the best stays I have had. Caroline's rental is in a perfect location on Wilshire Blvd. I was upgraded to her lovely studio that was extremely clean and well stocked. There was an amazing corner view that rose above the other buildings, which I loved. All the basic amenities were provided and it was quiet and safe. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and shopping. Also a very centrally located stay that's both close to the beach and the inner city. Wouldn't hesitate to stay at any one of Caroline's rentals.
We had a great time at LA because of this location at Caroline's house. She is by far the best host we've ever had on AirBNB, she had a wine bottle for us, chocolates, bottled water and other amenities on our room as a gift.
The room is very private (like a private studio inside her apartment), so comfortable and good to rest. The location is GREAT and the area is pretty close to main attractions on LA, specially Santa Monica and Hollywood.
We would go again on our stays at L.A.
For any visitor to the Santa Monica area, I highly suggest staying with Caroline. You will be greeted warmly, and she goes out of her way to make sure that the room is as cozy as possible.
Besides having comfortable furnishings in the room, it also has a private bathroom, and ample storage. For those of you unfamiliar with the area, she has left out a stack of touristy pamphlets as well menus from local restaurants.
The only downside to the room, is yes, the street is noisy at night. I had no problem getting to sleep, but would recommend the included ear plugs, for those lighter sleepers.
One thing that I really appreciated about Caroline, is how punctual and professional, she was. I could tell she cares about her guests, but also does not beat around the bush about the rules.
Overall, great experience, and I definitely will stay again!
Caroline is very friendly and easy-going. This is an awesome place, everything is clean. You can also enjoy the gym and pool facilities.
I will definitely live there again, when i come to Los Angeles in the next year.
Highly recommended! Caroline is an awesome host. She can adjust to your need however you want it to be. She totally respect your privacy, but she is also happy to show you around if she has time and if you want to.
She tries her very best to make the bedroom and bathroom clean. I went to do the laundry with her once and I could see that she really made an effort to make her guests feel pleasant and welcomed.
The location is nice for people with or without a car. Although it may be a little bit noisy living near a main road, Caroline provides earplugs for her guests :) She also provides snacks, water and good enough toiletries for you to just come in with your clothes :)
