Interaction with Guests
I really appreciate guests letting me know what their expectations are in terms of level of interaction. I have a regular job as well as 4 listings and I always make an effort to be as available as I can. However, I am not a mind reader and cannot guess which guests are more self sufficient and which are not. Please don't be afraid to speak up and let me know your needs :)

Other Things to Note
Please note that close proximity to the bus stops is great but it comes with noisy disadvantages. I just moved to this apartment which is just a few feet away from the Wilshire bus stops so if you are a very very light sleeper, like me :( you'll probably need earplugs.
No shoes inside please. If you must wear shoes, slippers or flat sandals are o.k.
No loud noise after 10 p.m. Please keep in mind this is a shared space so if you are having a fight on the phone with your significant other rest assure I will hear it :(
Do not leave lights on in the room when you're out. It waste electricity and the bill skyrockets.
Guests are responsible for cleaning after themselves, i.e. dishes and pans used in the kitchen, for long term stays (bedding, comforter and towels if I provide them)
Lastly, if you break something please let me know asap. You have the option of replacing it yourself or paying a fee directly to me.
No guests overnight or otherwise please.
No eating huge messy meals inside room. I'm sure you as a guest would prefer a roach and ant free accommodation and I also like my home roach and ant free so please follow this rule. Please throw away your trash in the kitchen.
Please do not go through my things. This is my home and expect all my guests to be as respectful as I am. I do not go through your things so please don't go through mine.
Caroline was a great host. Greeted me when I came in, offered me wine, and accommodated by hectic checkout. The room was comfortable and spacious, and the location was great for me, as I was looking for apartments near Century City. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient westside spot during their stay in LA!
I really enjoyed staying with Caroline. She was a very hospitable and accommodating host. The room is extremely large with a large flat screen TV, desk, en suite bathroom and extra large closets waiting to be filled. The room even had its own key for a secured entry. I felt like I was staying in a hotel room. As for parking, there is subterranean secured parking, just check with Caroline to access it. I would definitely stay again. Great space and great host.
Caroline proved to be a terrific host.
First she met me at the entrance to her home; then guided me into a covered-secure parking space. A huge plus in West Los Angeles.
Now Caroline was quite transparent about noise up front. The room is large; inasmuch it fronts Wilshire Boulevard.
For someone who grew up between LA and The Bronx the din of the city wasn't a factor. Nonetheless Caroline makes ear plugs available.
All in all, from the host's demeanor to the walkability of her neighborhood, a great fit.
My friend and I stayed with Caroline in both this accommodation and her studio apartment in the same location. In fact, we decided to book this accommodation because of how wonderful Caroline was, as we left LA for one night to go to the beach. Both accommodations were exactly as pictured and described. Caroline was very friendly and welcoming. She was extremely thorough, organized, and responsive. I felt like I could ask her for any advice and she always responded. She also had wine, chocolates and even some bathroom essentials which was so sweet. The location was great, near Santa Monica and not far from Venice. The building has a pool attached and is very close to Santa Monica beach. I would definitely recommend any of Caroline's listings!
Not relaxing as you face Wilshire blvd. A main road, very busy; clean and good location but noise, had to use ear plugs which were supplied by host; unfortunately I was suppose to arrive by 9 pm but the electricity went out and Caroline let me know about right away, but fell stranded not knowing where I would stay that night, but I the last minute the problem was solved in the building and I was able to stay there; Caroline and son were both sick, she has some kind of stomach flu and son had a very bad cough; she told me they were in Peru and both got sick!
Patricia seeing as you told me you worked in Beverly Hills for 17 yrs or more and the address was released to you ahead of time and the fact that you confirmed with me via email that you had read the listing description then you should have known that the apartment is right off Wilshire and that's it's a busy street. Otherwise, how in the world could you arrive at my place if you didn't have the address? The fact that I had a stomach flu had nothing to do with you or your stay. You had a completely separate and PRIVATE room with a PRIVATE bathroom in a separate area of the apartment. In fact, you never even met my son! You were never in the same room as him. I helped you with your bags and that's as close as I got to you. As soon as you checked in we went to sleep. I don't see how I or my son bothered you in any way. In fact you were the one complaining the whole time and were rude to me more than once and I put up with it.
I provided the information to you and its your responsibility to take 5 minutes and read it. I use Airbnb as a guest myself and I never book anything with out reading the description in the listing and asking the necessary questions that are important me. Good luck to you.
Host was amazing, Host made me feel welcome, nice charming and helpful drove me to the parking space. The room is comfortable, and she's very generous with additions such as chocolate, water, and the bathroom she has everything you need such as shampoo, toothpaste etc..
However, this is a VERY noisy room - you can hear the traffic loudly and it rattles your room. Even though she provides ear plugs, so only stay here if you can tolerate loud traffic.
Victoria, the listing is very clear about my apartment being on Wilshire blvd which is a main street. I asked you, prior to your arrival if you read the listing and if you had any questions, you responded with a yes so I assumed you told me the truth and knew what you booked. Additionally, when you checked in I brought it up again. I asked you again if you had any issues with sleeping there as it is noisy and yes, I do provide earplugs but as I mentioned in my listing description which you said you read, if you're a light sleeper then this may not be the right place for them or you if that's you. That was the time to speak up and say something. You also had the option of canceling or shortening your stay. In fact, If you had said a word to me about it I would have refunded you your money and helped you find a place to fit your needs. But you didn't give me that option. Please next time, say something right away.
