Who are our guests?
Through the years, our loyal & distinguished guests, (professors, researchers, artists, lawyers, physicians & honeymooners) have demanded centrally located studios steps from the magical Parisian Bridges and a walking distance from all major sights, museums & Universities, at the lowest prices to save their money for more important things.
Our formula of no-frills accommodation delights everyone for years, you save money while you feel and act like a PARISIAN, if you break something fix it, replace it, if you run out of something buy what you need like a true Parisian, on the day of departure you will leave the studio as clean, or cleaner for the next guest who will come here to enjoy this fabulous location, second to none.
Generous guests left paintings, wine glasses, flowers and even poems. We rely on your generosity to keep these studios operationally-self-sufficient in the face of daunting rising expenses in Paris. (Paris in now the second most expensive city in the World.)
Your responsibility will be to feel and act as a Parisian homeowner:
1. Check in is 2:00 pm (unless you need to drop your luggage but not before 11:00am). The clean linen will be dropped around 2:00 pm.
2. Do the dishes regularly and especially at the day of departure.
3. Bring down the garbage regularly, (green dustbin at the end of the corridor) and especially on the last day, please take all the garbage with you.
4. Clean the fridge. If there are edible-left-over put them on the table (as a gift for our caretakers but please do not leave anything in the fridge).
5. You are a Parisian, and this is your home away from home, accordingly buy a lamp (bulb) if needed, paper-towels, bathroom-soaps and coffee filters as per your needs.
The flat was in a great location, just 2 blocks from the Arc de Triumph. Plenty of space for sleeping and luggage. The only problem my friend and I had with the flat was the bathroom. There was a lot of mold in the shower and on the ceiling. We were told that there was a cleaning service that came by before the stay but I don't think they actually cleaned.
Other than that, we just needed the flat for a place to sleep so it did its job.
Emmas apartment was very good located. Supermarket, cafés, Metro and the Chaumps-Élysées is near. The first impression of the house and the entry was perfect. But then you have to go to the little flat and the whole joy is gone. The flat is very small, that is not the problem, but it was very dirty and smelly. It seems to be a smoker at that apartment before. The bath situation was very uncomfortable, because you can´t sit on the toilette. Also everywhere was mildew at the walls in the bathroom.
We used the flat with 4 persons and in our opinion we were too many people.
Maybe you can stay there with 2 or 3 persons. But if you have children with you or older people it is very uncomfortable to stay there longer than 1 night.
The communication with Emma was very good and uncomplicated till the day we arrived. The question we had a short time before we arrived wasn´t answered.
Result: We all were very disappointed about the flat. Not about the size, but about the cleanness and the very uncomfortable bath situation. It was ok to stay for two nights, but more than two or three people shouldn`t stay at this apartment.
We would not visit this apartment again and we all wouldn´t advise it to a friend.
Fantastic location. I wouldn't have wanted another neighbourhood. Mine was a family of 6 adults, but the stay would have been more comfortable if we had, say, 5. It's a tight space, one of us took the couch (the black couch seen in photo). Bathroom was ridiculously tiny (first time in Paris, perhaps it's a Paris thing?), with barely any space to sit comfortably on the toilet seat. It's great value, only if you need a place to sleep for the night. In my case, I'm happy with my stay overall, as it met my needs. I couldn't imagine staying for another night, though.
Communication with host was not great, as they required the use of third-party email service for security reasons (as opposed to using AirBNB's messaging system). Direct emails went unanswered, as did text messages. It was only until much later did I receive an email reply, although it was as though the host hadn't read my email in the first place. This listing is a somewhat self-service kind of listing where, you turn up and retrieve the key without the presence of the host, using a lock-code system.
We were a family of 5 from Australia travelling all over Europe for 6 weeks and used Airbnb for our accommodation in all countries. The only place we would not re-book was this one in Paris. The only good thing about it was the location. It was dirty, especially the bathroom that had something growing under the sink, and the space was so small even a child could not sit on the toilet unless it was sideways. They only left us 3 old and thin towels for 5 people and it was not until 7pm the following night they bought extra after my request, along with a mop and bucket that I also requested, to clean the toilet floor in the hallway we had to use, because it was soooo disgusting. There were no top sheets supplied and the doona provided for my children on the fold out sofa didn't look like it had been cleaned for some time so it was awful!! I definitely wouldn't recommend this place for a family.

Starting as a student at the Sorbonne University in the early age, I constantly come back to Paris after long travels. No matter where I go, how long I stay, Paris is a place I come back to. This is a place I called home.
