Sandra and Patches were awesome!! Amazing little quiet spot, just perfect!! Loved the fireplace! Thank you so much and if Australia doesn't work out we will be back soon!!!
We loved every minute spent in Sandy's Meadow Retreat. The place was perfect and Sandy was the best host anyone can ever ask for. She greeted us and made us feel at home the very instant we got there. The location felt like you were in the most peaceful, restful spot, yet only minutes into town. The cabin was just perfect and it was immaculately clean and organized and so cozy. The little touches and the treats Sandy had in the cabin made us feel so warm and welcomed. And the muffins were to die for! Thanks again Sandy. Staying at your place was truly a treat and I'm looking forward to more!
We absolutely loved staying here! Sandy was such a nice and gracious host. She greeted us as soon as we arrived and showed us around. The place is very quiet, has a nice wood stove, small refrigerator, microwave, and many other small little things someone might need. We were blown away by all the small little things Sandy does to make sure her guests feel comfortable. We definitely want to come back then next time we are in the area!
Sandy was a fabulous host. Just the right amount of interaction, welcoming us, providing us with details about the cottage, how to get in touch if we needed anything and then visiting with us before we departed making sure our visit met all our expectations. This was our first Airbnb (not our first B&B). Sandy set the bar pretty high for any future Airbnb's we try. She provided us with plenty of local info, snacks, muffins and even gluten free treats for me. The cottage was charming, quiet, super comfy bed, toasty wood stove, great meadow view (stars/moon and even a wild bunny). There's a small fridge, microwave and enough dishes and mugs to prepare light meal. Her cottage deserves the average 5 star rating it is receiving.
We loved our stay at Sandy's meadow retreat in Mendocino. The room was so cozy, clean, and comfortable and we felt so welcomed by her. A great experience!
We had such a wonderful time at Sandy's meadow retreat! The cottage was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Sandy is an amazing hostess! She is so friendly and full of great advice about the area. It was very easy to communicate with her and plan our arrival. Also, her homemade muffins are delicious and make for an excellent start to the day. We only wish our stay had been longer!
Sandy's cottage was great for our short stay in Mendocino! She was very accommodating and her muffins were great. Hope to be back soon.
I have lived in this area for 21 years....I was raised in the Bay Area and worked for the City of San Mateo. After retiring from Police and Fire service (dispatcher) I am now working part-time at local B&B's. I enjoy my art, my home and my furry "kids". One dog and two very spoiled felines. I work part-time at a local Inn and enjoy the Mendocino Art Center & the various classes they offer. I spend hours on the bluffs and on the beach taking photographs.
Only moments from the village of Mendocino and the beautiful coastal bluffs. This is also located minutes from the State Parks. Van Damme is about 5 minutes away..they have lovely trails through the Fern Canyon. Big River State Beach is minutes away and you can enjoy running in the sand, rent a canoe nearby or walk the 7-mile trail along the river. Montgomery Woods is a 20 minute drive east of here. Nice trails and very tall trees!. Historic town of Ft.:Bragg is approximately 12 miles north...enroute you can stop at Pt.Cabrillo Lighthouse, Caspar Beach or the Botanical Gardens. Ft. Bragg offers great shops as well as the Skunk Train that travels into the redwoods. Watch the seals bask in the sun north of Ft.Bragg in the State Park. Shop in downtown Mendocino for unique items as well!
I am available to answer any questions that you may have. I hope you find this area as magical as I do! Life is to be enjoyed, every moment!
