Built on a tropical slope, this magical dwelling integrates you into the lower, mid- and upper levels of jungle flora and fauna. Standing or relaxing on the tile and log veranda you find yourself right at the upper canopy level, creating the magical sensation of living in a tree house.
Looking beyond the brilliant greens of jungle tree-tops and the brightly-colored flowers below, you see the blue of distant mountains—an amazing and peaceful view. You are surrounded by quiet—punctuated with melodic bird songs, a symphony of crickets, entertaining monkey visits, nesting parrots, toucan songs at the rising sun, and brilliantly colored butterflies fluttering all about.

“Here, we share with the neighborhood the admiration and greatest respect for the beauty of nature; and we share in its preservation,” says your host, Pierre, a Canadian naturalized in Costa Rica, who speaks fluent French, English, and Spanish (originally from Quebec, Canada). • We enjoined our stay at Pierre's chalet in Quepos. Truly enjoyed the l-shaped porch/deck and the open air screened windows for the living space. The chalet is conveniently located to the town and national park. Pierre was a great host, very friendly and helpful. Being a dog lover, we enjoyed his 3 dogs. We truly enjoyed our stay with Pierre, Ben, Beau and Sophie. Stuart & Joan (and Savannah)

  • Oh my God, this was truly the highlight of our Costa Rican experience. It has been 2 1/2 months since our stay at Pierre's chalet and not a day goes by without dreaming of being back there! Only minutes from town, we felt as though we were in the jungle. The yard was filled with beautiful flowers and the trees were buzzing with wildlife.
Pierre is an amazing host and dedicated his time to ensure we experienced everything we could in the Quepos area. His chalets are immaculate with all the comforts of home including a massive bed, beautiful walk in shower (with hot water!) and a fully furnished deck at canopy level.
Pierre provided us his friendship and welcomed us as if we were family. Nothing will let you down by staying with Pierre. The pictures displayed are exactly what you get.

For Pierre, we hope that someday we will meet up with you again!!

  • We just returned from a wonderful trip to Costa Rica. This is largely due to our wonderful accommodations and Pierre.
The chalet is surrounded by lush forest, we woke up every morning to look out onto the jungle and listen to all the beautiful sounds of parrots and howler monkeys in the distance, it's absolutely magical. The large wraparound deck is perfect to relax and that's where we spent all our time when we were at the chalet.
The chalet is perfectly located. Close to everything - shopping in Quepos, beaches in Manuel Antonio, nature parks and trails and restaurants/bars - but far enough to enjoy tranquility when you want it.
Pierre is the perfect host, making sure to check in on us and that we had everything we needed. When we arrived we came in late from a long day of traveling and found fruits and bread in our fridge so we wouldn't go hungry at this late hour. That was extremely thoughtful and much appreciated. Pierre has an extensive knowledge of the area and had many suggestions and helpful hints that made our trip even more enjoyable. We felt completely at ease getting around.
Thank you so much for your hospitality Pierre. It's been a perfect trip and we will recommend you to all our friends. As a matter of fact we've been doing nothing but telling everybody about our trip since we've been back :)
Hoping to return soon for more sun and adventures.

  • What a delightful and restful experience.
Pierre has a beautiful spot close to both the lovely vibrant town of Quepos and the resort-like town of Manuel Antonio.
The chalet is a true escape and is nestled in a lush setting with beautiful gardens and the view of the surrounding mountains.
Pierre was terrific and even gave me the grand tour of the area and offered excellent advice on shopping as well as day trips to several unpublicised gems.
I would definitely recommend this place.

  • It is a perfect hideaway in the jungle while not having to drive miles off a paved road as is so often the case. It is in a gated subdivision that has 3 acre lots so it is private, seculuded and safe. We enjoyed the chalet for a month and it had everything you need. Pierre was a fabulous host and we loved the sounds of the jungle and how they varied at the different times of day and night. It does not have bright lighting for evenings, which is wise as the more light the more assorted insects will be attracted. It is luxurious by Costa Rica standards for a cabin, but by North America standards it may be seen as rustic with all the conveniences.

  • The garden chalet completely exceeded our expectations! The wrap around porch in the jungle was lovely and the entire cabin was absolutely charming. Pierre is also an excellent host. He got us all situated with the grocery store location and restaurants in Manuel Antonio and set us up with a great zipline canopy tour.

Herzlichen Dank, Pierre!

Pierre is a very kind and generous host. We met at a public place, so we did not have to search for his cabin. He even offered to show us around in quepos. An offer that we gladly accepted, since first hand information from a local is always helpful.

The cabin and its big veranda are beautifully situated in the countryside and still close to town. The cabin is a clean and safe place and is equipped with everything you need. The kitchen is well equipped. Since we originally planned to only stay for 3 days, Pierre graciously provided us with some salt and pepper and oil. He even made sure, that everything was ready for a few coffees. In addition we enjoyed the delicious fruits that were ready for us.

A quiet an peaceful place to relax for a few days and to enjoy the climate of the beach and the countryside. Thanks a lot, Pierre! We had a wonderful time!

I love Costa Rica and have spent thirty-two years living here in peace and harmony with nature. I share my living space with two old cats and three gentle boxers (dogs). I live a healthy lifestyle and and enjoy my interactions with tenants from all over the world. I have found my paradise and love sharing it with the other residents of the jungle.
