Allow me to start by saying this: Daniel and I are well-traveled and well-educated when it comes to random travel glitches. We've journeyed through about 70% of the globe and not much stresses us out. This was our first experience with Airbnb. We came across Pierre's listing by total luck, as it was Easter and every hotel in Quepos was fully booked. The place was exactly as described, he was incredibly kind and welcoming to us, even though we appeared in his inbox well into the evening! We booked for three nights. On the first morning, we headed to the beach and realized our sides were covered in bug bites. We thought we'd call to tell him about it, as a way of coming up with a solution, together (who knows what the bites were from?!). From that moment on, we were treated like unwelcomed intruders. Our stuff had been bagged up and moved to the other chalet as requested, which was a nice gesture, of course. But we were told it was most likely us who brought this problem along -even though we were fine the previous nights(?). The second chalet clearly had not been used for quite some time as the floor and the kitchen counter were covered in sand and a few random drops of what looked like mice feces. We never heard from him again until it was time to return the keys. On the third evening, we tried texting him to see if we could borrow the blender from the first chalet (as the one we had had a leak and was filthy), but our message was left unanswered. We've been back in Montreal now for 4 days and we still have lingering bites, an unfriendly reminder of our last adventure.
Welcome to the rainforest! The Chalet is perfect situated, it is easy to reach Quepos, the manuel antonio national park and the coast to Dominical (we had a car). The Chalet is well equipped (kitchen), has a lot of privacy, , we enjoyed the beautiful Terrasse, relaxing in the Hammock, observing the animales arround. Pierre is a very helpful and couteous Host, always easy to contact if needed. Wifi worked fine. We stayed just three Nights but you can stay definitively longer there.
Pierre was a amazing host, very welcoming and friendly. The chalet is as shown on the pictures, cute and cosy. You'll have everything you need. Pierre was so helpful with everything that could gave us the best stay possible. It's well situated close to Quepos and Manuel Antonio. I definitively recommend this place!
Merci pour tout Pierre, en espérant te revoir!!!
Sophie, Sébastien et Naomie!
We really enjoyed our stay in Pierre's chalet. Such a pleasant little place. Especially sitting outside on the porch with the jungle surrounding us. The outside shower was so refreshing after a hot day of hiking (don't worry, there's one inside as well) Pierre was an awesome host as well. He gave us a short tour of the town when we arrived and then helped us with points of interest in the area, even making reservations for us to Zipline. Great guy! He has 3 boxers that visited with him. Loved that. Oh, he even did our laundry for us. We highly recommend staying at Pierre's.
Amazing place. Perfect nights on the terrace, lounging on the hammock, listening to the jungle, cooking in the well equipped kitchen, cooling off in the outdoor shower (not to worry, there's another indoor), and the list goes on. My girlfriend and I stayed here for 6 nights and we quickly felt truly at home. Pierre is a very, very welcoming and helpful host. He is very careful in making sure you are doing OK and has a relaxed attitude which really puts you at ease. And he's got some cute doggies.
Also, the location is super pragmatic. Walking distance from small (but relatively well populated with shops) Barrio Inmaculada and a short taxi/bus ride to well connected Quepos.
Thanks so much to Pierre for making our stay great! We enjoyed it very much and would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone interested :)
We had a great time at Pierre's Garden Chalet near Quepos. Pierre gave us a warm welcome, inviting us for drinks and showing us the nearby towns of Quepos and Manuel Antonio with some very helpful recommendations. He's a really great host!
The Chalet is located beautifully, sitting on the huge veranda feels like being in the middle of the jungle. It's very spacious and clean, the kitchen is fully equipped. What we liked most is waking up with a nice view into the canopies of the surrounding palm trees, with some luck one can see some monkeys. We felt very comfortable and can totally recommend to stay at Pierre's! Hope to come back one day.
Un gros merci à Pierre pour son accueil. Nous avons été enchantés de notre court séjour. Tout était parfait!

I love Costa Rica and have spent thirty-two years living here in peace and harmony with nature. I share my living space with two old cats and three gentle boxers (dogs). I live a healthy lifestyle and and enjoy my interactions with tenants from all over the world. I have found my paradise and love sharing it with the other residents of the jungle.
