The space
Step into our inviting "Hilltop A-frame", where rustic warmth and peaceful bliss await. The cozy interior, adorned with mountain mid century modern accents and comfy furnishings, sets the stage for an intimate escape. Enjoy natural light and mountain views from the living room as the winter snow falls, and make lasting memories on our private 5-acre haven! Head out the back door and relax on the large composite deck with Adirondacks as you stargaze the night away.

The fully-equipped kitchen invites you to create a gourmet meal, complete with a brand new oven, retro refrigerator, toaster, & microwave. In the mood to grill? We have a brand new Weber gas grill outside for you! The small mid century modern dining table is the perfect spot for up to three guests. In the mood for some coffee? Don't worry as we provide the coffee beans so all you have to do is take advantage of the new MoccaMaster, a coffee lover's dream!
As night falls, relax on the couch with a glass of wine and enjoy your favorite shows on the Smart TV! If you're not in the mood for TV, flip on some tunes on the record player or connect your own music via the Sonos speaker and dance the night away! If you are wanting to re-live your childhood, pull out the Super Nintendo Class Edition with over 100 games to choose from! While the cabin doesn’t have cable, the Smart TV has all the apps for you to login and stream your favorite apps. The electric fireplace adds to the ambiance, creating the perfect setting for an ideal evening in.
Up the spiral staircase, the main bedroom features a queen-sized Casper bed for restful nights, while the second bedroom has a twin bed and a dedicated workspace with fast Starlink WiFi—perfect for remote work or streaming. While the staircase adds charm, it may not suit small children or larger luggage!
Whether you are celebrating a special occasion, exploring what Park and Summit counties have to offer year round, skiing at nearby world class resorts while avoiding I-70 traffic, or simply wanting an escape from the everyday hustle in our Hilltop A-Frame, we can't wait to host you!
Guest access
Guests will have exclusive and private access to the entire A-frame cabin and the surrounding 5 acres of land.
- Laundry: A brand-new washer and dryer are available inside the cabin for your convenience.
- Restricted Area: For your safety, the garage is currently off-limits to guests as it is undergoing improvements.
Other things to note
Bring your furry friend (up to 2 dogs allowed), but please be sure to mark this in your guest count as our cleaning fee changes to cover extra cleaning. Overall we just ask you to take care of and clean up after your dog! We provide:

Important cabin information for a wonderful stay:
✅ Temperature: No AC, but summer nights (42–50°F) naturally cool the cabin from daytime highs (70–75°F). We provide Dyson and Lasko fan-heaters in addition to standard baseboard and wall heating.
✅ Staircase: Our narrow spiral staircase is a unique feature but makes transporting large luggage difficult. It is not recommended for unsupervised small children.
✅ Bugs: The cabin is professionally treated by Orkin; however, insects or field mice occasionally enter this remote mountain setting. If pests are a major concern, a remote Colorado cabin may not be the right fit.
✅ Mud Season & Winter Driving: Early spring runoff may make our road muddy. Accessible year-round, our cabin recommends AWD/4WD with good tire tread in snowy months (Nov-Apr).
✅ Outdoor Fires: Due to wildfires, please refrain from using any ember-producing equipment.
✅ Water Source: Enjoy safe drinking water from our 283ft deep well. Conserve water to avoid potential well dryness. Hot water tank provides 10-15 min hot showers, reheating quickly.
✅ Altitude: At 9,500 feet above sea level, stay hydrated.
