The best room in Barcelona!
Nice room, in a central and quiet part of Barcelona. Very near of the beach. With fast WIFI of course.
In my opinión, the best option for rest after one jorney discovering this amazing city.
My name is Carmen, and I've got a newly renovated apartment in central Barcelona for your holiday in this cosmopolitan city!
For rent is a bedroom for two people. The room is spacious, bright and quiet, and the apartment is very nice, spacious, bright and well kept... with a huge balcony!
WHAT DOES THE PRICE INCLUDE? Night in a double bed, sheets, towels, wardrobe, and access to the entire apartment (also the kitchen, which is fully equipped). And WIFI
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED? Noise. The windows and balcony overlook a quiet pedestrian street, so that you can rest well. (this is important, in city center usually there are so noise)
In the flat there are 3 rooms, you are booking for one, and there are other for other guests, and other for me. You can use all apartment, but all is to share (like living in Barcelona like a locals)
The location of the flat is perfect, because is in the city center, but not in the area with noise, and really near of the beach! 15 min. walking!
I have always lived in Barcelona, so I can HELP you with your visit, and give you tips both on the touristic places to visit as well as the ones where local people normally go to.
If you want, there is the possibility of pick you up in the airport, and also cooking clases and guided tours around Barcelona (walking or with my car (all for reasonable price).
Please write me if you have any questions.
See you soon!
HOLA!
You have acces at entire apartment.
Interaction with Guests
I live in the flat, so we'll meet almost every day.
Also I travel a lot, so If I'm not at home my one of my friends will be here
I love this neighborhood. Mostly are local people living in this área of the center calls El Fort Pienc, for me is like more "real". Is very quiet.
I go walking or with my rollers to everywhere: university, beach, to drink something with my friends, clubs...
Is plenty of supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants,... And you have very near the bus and metro stop, and train station
First think: you can walk to the all importants parts of the city: Sagrada Familia, Old Town and the beach.
You can use metro, bus or train. There is 2 metro station so near (Marina and Monumental), and bus stop just in front of the building. Also you can rent a bike. The train for go out of Barcelona is in Arc de Triomf, 5 minutes or less from the apartment. And the bus station calls EL NORD is also so near, perfect for the people who arrive at Girona airport, because the bus arrives there.
Only stay like at your home, I will writte some "rules" (maybe is just common sense):
Don't open the door to anyone. We are in a safe area, never hapened nothing, but we never know, and I don't want problems. If I'm waiting for someone I will be there (so, if I'm not there, not open, even if they say "agua", "gas", ...)
Take care of the thinks.
Please, try don't do lot of noise.
This is a quiet flat, in a quiet building; all the people who live in the building have his/her normal live (work or study, childrens, etc.), so, I ask fir be quiet since the moment that you enter in the building.
When you use the toilet, please, try to leave as you found. I clean it every day, but sometimes after 2 hours I founded it with the floor full of water and really durty. I want to do all well, and keed the things clean, so please, help me trying to keep it clean (nothing special, just like you do at your home)
Not possible to cook after 11 pm and before 7 am
Clean everything that you use in the kitchen, and leave it like you found.
We have gas for cooking. Please, if you use check 2 that is close before leaving the kitchen
No visitors at home please, only the people who reserve.
When you leave the room, turn off the light. When you leave the apartment, turn off the lights. If you go to sleep, and is no people around, turn off the lights.
And please, don't smoke at home (in the balcony no problem)
Our stay with Carmen was very good. Even though she wasn't there, her friend Mireia was very nice and welcoming. She took good care of us from showing us where things were located and food spots. It is about 7-10 minute walk to the metro station and 20 minute walk to the beach. Her place was clean. I Highly recommend.
Carmen's instructions were clear to follow for finding the apartment. Although we did not get to meet Carmen, instead we met Simon, whom was helpful when it came to recommendations and questions. The description was accurate as stated, and the neighborhood had a large supermarket and metro station relatively close by.
Carmen was lovely to stay with, very welcoming! Always happy to help with suggestions and advice of where to go and what to do. The room and apartment were clean and as pictured, she was available for check in at our convenience. The location was as we expected, close to the metro and easy to get around.
Carmen arranged for a friend to be at the apartment to meet me when I arrived. The directions were pretty clear. The location is really great many spots are close enough to walk to and subway is easy to understand. Trains come all the time. The apartment is very clean and cheerful.
Very nice place to stay. Carmen is cheerfull and help with usefull recommandation on how to get around in the city. The room and the bath are clean. Carmen's place isn't far from some Barcelona sightseeings. You can reach Sagrada Familia, Arc de Triomf in just 10 min walking. The beach isn't also so far (roughly 20 min walking). There are bunch of restaurants around with regional foods too.
Carmen was a wonderful host, I had such a good experience staying at her place.
When we got to the apartment, everything was cleaned up and our rooms were well accommodated. She was kind enough to take the time to give us tips on what to visit and how to get there. Her place is beautifully located on a quiet street, right next to a small passageway that gets you to the heart of the city in less than 10 minutes walking.
Overall, I had a very relaxed and enjoyable experience at her place and would highly recommend you guys staying there during your next visit, especially if you're going to the OFFF Festival (which was the reason for my visit to Barcelona), as you can walk to the venue in 5 minutes.

About the Host, Carmen
Hi! I'm Carmen, and I was born in this lovely city calls Barcelona 29 years ago.
I was all the time in Barcelona? No. With my family I moved at one little town for some years, but now I'm at my favourite city again, in one apartment in the center and near the beach, because is really important to me be close of the see.
From May 2011 I'm in airbnb, and for me is a really nice experience. At home came people from all around the world, and with some of them now we are close friends! I can't forget one men that came from Alaska, and his histories of his life there, or one couple from Australia in their 60's (they were in a tour around europe and he asked her for marriage on the top of Eiffel tower in Paris); or the couple from Japan in their 80's, cooking at home and really surprise for how I do the cuisine. There is lot of people and experience that i will never forget.
I started with airbnb mainly for do one dream: travel around Africa and South America for long time; and now I come from this travel. I started my travel in genuary 2013, and came back now, in august 2014. But in this time my best friend Stefania was at home, welcoming the guests, cleaning, etc. So in the reviews you can see that the people talk about Stefania (well, now again they talk about me). This travel was a really amazing experience, I think that it changed myself. Later I will writte the name of the countries that I been in my life.
What I'm doing now? Well, now I'm thinking what is the life, because we are really lucky (you really can see it if you stay in some parts of africa. I was alone, with my backpack, and stayed with more tan 40 families). So, for the moment, I decided finish my studies (antropology) and writte a blog about my travels (to help other people that want to do this tipe of travel). And, of course, continue with airbnb, because I love to meet diferent people, and is also like a travel for me.
See you son!!!
