About this listing

The space

Located in the heart of the oldest medina in the world, a 5-minute walk from the Qarayouine and the main souks, DAR ELISA - privately rented - is easily accessible, very close to the entertainment spots, parking areas, taxis, and the main market of the city which is open daily. Experience the fascinating rythm of life of the medina.

Quiet and tastefully decorated, respecting traditional materials and fourniture arranged around a very pleasant and cool patio, DAR ELISA was completely renoved in 2007 and refurnished in 2010 and 2011. Decorative fountain and traditional mosaic flooring. High ceilings provide freshness and majesty. Furnished and lighted terrace with a stunning 180-degree panoramic view of the medina. As an option, Rachid, our local representative, offers four menus of very affordable authenthic maroccan meals prepared by two excellent cooks, Ouliya and Leila, as well as optioning cleaning. Various additional customized services available. Air conditioning in the second livingroom at the terrace level.

You may combine a visit to DAR ELISA in Fez with another stay at RIAD MAEVA in Marrakesh, our charming house in the Red City, only 300 meters from the world famous Jemâa El Fna square (posted on Airbnb website as well).

We had breakfast and dinner here andit was delicious! The best food we had in Fes, better than the restaurants! We were a group of 7, we prefered to use the bathroom on the second floor as the bathroom on the first floor could do with an upgrade. The riad is smaller than what appears in photos but would be really comfortable for a group of 6 (there are 3 bedrooms with double beds, the bedroom for the 7th person is more an extra living room area on the third floor with a small single bed/couch). Was great to have a quiet place to come back to and it stayed cool in the heat. Main photo has been brightened but such a great experience staying in a 400 year old building! Hosts are lovely, would recommend!

The house is in the ancient city, so it is convenient, but the ancient city of the road is too shaken, very inconvenient baggage. The house is smaller than the photo, but the whole is satisfied, and the kitchen, you can cook.

A bientôt!
