Check In
  • Robin's unit was fantastic. She was very accommodating and flexible. The room was equipped with helpful amenities for our long trip, from restaurant coupons to the double head shower...not to mention the heavenly memory foam mattress. I never slept so well.

The location is just down the street from the Fisherman's Wharf. The unit is at the bottom of the house, so you will hear the traffic above but it was generally quiet for the most part.

  • Wow what a sweet space Robin has! We loved the garden and private entrance into the little cozy nest she provided! We didn't take advantage of the steam shower but appreciated that it was an option. Great artwork and very comfy space! Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions for fun food and stuff to do in Monterrrey. The little snack basket and fresh water were also really nice. Thank you so much for providing a lovely space for our visit and we just might be back!

    Response from Robin:

You are most welcome. Thanks for staying with us! We hope to see you again soon.

  • Robin was great! It was nice to have Charlie and Cinderella the cats hang out with us on the patio. The crown jewel of this place is the steam sauna. Highly recommended if you are in Monterey. Thank you!!!!

  • Our stay at Robins was good, walking distance to fisherman's wharf and cannery row. There is a convenience store across the road which was handy. There is some water noise from above either bathroom or kitchen which Robin mentions. We were running late for our arrival time due to driving through Big Sur however Robin and Bob were very understanding.

  • We had a great stay with Robin! Her place was beautiful--clean and cozy and in a great location. Only wish we'd been staying a little longer to take advantage of all of her great restaurant recommendations. The steam shower was an extra treat at the end of a long day of sightseeing. Highly recommended!

  • Thanks for Robin and Bob, I had a very nice stay in Monterey.
They have me air conditioning notice, hot pot for boiling water and good suggestions for tour. Doris

  • We enjoyed our stay in Monterey at this location. It was just a block away from the Naval Postgraduate School, which was the primary reason for our visit. But it was also perfectly located for touring - an easy walk to Old Fisherman's Wharf, parks and amenities. The "check-in" basket had a nice array of local recommendations for activities and dining. The suite was very comfortable and the steam bath was an exceptional plus for us, since we went on several lengthy day hikes in the mountains and the nearby estuaries, and it was a great way to relax tired muscles.

  • Robin is a very nice and helpful hostess. She gave me many advise and room tips.
Great and quiet place to rest!
I love the place especially the steamer room!!! :-)

  • We had a fantastic stay with Robin! Even though we told her that we would arrive at around 8PM, we ended up arriving at 6PM, and Robin had the room ready for us and we didn't have to wait. She was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and gave us some great tips for restaurants as well as activities to do. The location of the house is also great. There is a deli/store right across the street, Monterey Bay Kayaking is just a short 10min walk away, and everything else is pretty much just a short drive away.

The room itself was cozy and clean. We had our own entrance so we didn't have to bother Robin and her family. The steam shower is also really cool and a good way to relax after a long day of outdoor activities!

I live in Monterey with my family, husband, Bob and two kids, Cambell (12) and Sean (8). We are busy parents and entrepenuers and business owners. Love outdoor activities and family time. After staying at a few airbnbs we decided that we could and would like to host travelers in our home from time to time. We love travel and exploring and can tell you a great deal about Monterey, great hikes and restaurants, places to go and things to do in the area. We are friendly and easy to talk with, but expect that you will want your privacy and we will leave you to do what you want to do and anticipate that you will ask if you need anything from us. Cheers!
