A unique luxury thatched bungalow within a boutique resort with a private access Balangan beach. Simple, charming and enjoys a perfect location near a world-class beach. Common swimming pool, restaurant and gardens are expertly kept and beautiful. Some guests say we look like a Hobbit village.
Our bungalows use local Balinese artisan construction methods and have a thatched roof, salvaged wood and enormous, spacious gardens that provide good privacy. The bungalow is eco-friendly and uses a lot of polished local limestones sourced right from the area.
The resort facilities include large infinity edge swimming pool, an ocean view restaurant, ocean spa, extensive gardens and a private walkway to a private beach.

We can help arrange airport pickup. The transfer takes about 45-55 minutes and costs IDR 250,000 (about $20 USD). You pay direct to the driver.
Balangan is a hidden and beautiful beach on the South coast of Bali. It's favoured by surfers for it's consistent barrels and by beach lovers for its clean, golden sand and laid-back vibe.
This is the opposite of Kuta. The location is a bit remote and the nearest town of Ungasan is about a 15 minute drive back. Transportation to this area is a bit lacking, since it's far off the main roads, but if you're looking for a bit of refined solitude, this place is perfect.
The beach itself goes for about 2km and has white sand, swaying coconut trees, and a very gentle, relaxed atmosphere. The lagoon is good for moderate snorkeling and swimming.
We suggest renting a motorbike to fully enjoy the area and all it's beautiful beaches. Balangan is great but if you're around for 3-4 days, we suggest you can explore the Uluwatu or Padang Padang areas as well. You can also rent a car as well. Taxis out to this area are a bit expensive since there is a monopoly/cartel in transport service to/from our area.
We are about 45-55 minutes from the airport. We can help organize airport transfers with a freelance driver. He charges Rp 250,000 (about $20 USD).)

I began life as an Asian American engineer, then I came to Bali, fell in love with the island and my future wife, Wayana. We met at an art-shop in Jimbaran and I missed my flight home.
I've been living in Bali since 2005 and I still love being here. I worked at Aman Resorts in 2011. Then, I managed market development for Airbnb in early 2013. It was an amazing experience building the Bali Airbnb community.
Our family hosts professionally now. We list and manage a beautiful collection of authentic BnB's, villas and private homes. We look for promising properties close to the beach or with incredible ocean views, or spacious villas and list them on Airbnb.
We're a friendly, hospitable family and we enjoy getting to know our guests and sharing our local tips.
