Abraham's place looks just like the photos. It is clean and new, the rooms are very comfortable, and the pool is refreshing. It is a quiet property on the outskirts of Tulum. If you are renting a car then this would be a good property. Otherwise, I would recommend staying closer to town or the beach. This location is at least a 15 minute walk to any restaurant, and more like 30-40 minutes to the bus station or central downtown. There are very few taxis that drive through the area so it can feel like you're stranded at times. Check-in was difficult. It seemed like Abraham was not in communication with the on site staff so we were initially turned away because they didn't know about our reservation. The directions are also incorrect on Airbnb so if you do stay here make sure to iron out all the details beforehand. If you're looking for a nice quiet room with a/c for a good price then this is a good property. But Tulum is so vibrant that I expect most people would want to stay closer to the action.

This was our first visit to Tulum. We thought the beach was a little closer to town. This place was a little hard to find for the first time. The neighborhood was a little noisy, but the building was very quite, clean and had a nice pool area. The patio doors wouldn't lock, but the place felt very secure with staff on site. The place was clean and the price was great.

This place was fantastic! At first we were a bit concerned about not staying at the beach, but we found this experience to be vastly superior for a few reasons. 1. Tulum Town. A lot of people come to Tulum just for the beach, and consequently they miss out on one of the cutest, friendliest towns I've ever been to. You can walk into Tulum Town in just 10 minutes, or there is always cabs driving by to drive you. Once there, there are ton of shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes for you to check out. 2. Bike rental. Your bikes come included with the Airbnb! It was so much fun getting to ride into town during the evening. 3. Easy access to the beach. While this place isn't at the beach, it is *so* easy to catch a cab. We caught one to the beach every single day for about $5 USD. I highly recommend that you check out some of the beach clubs for your visit. You can go there during the day, with access to beach chairs, towels, food, and drink. 4. Cost / Value. By staying here for $80/night (give or take) we were able to spend that excess money exploring the local cenotes, going out to dinner, and purchasing stuff from the shops. 10/10 would recommend that you stay at this place during your trip to Tulum. If you're in search of a more authentic experience, look no further.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Abraham communicated quickly and thoroughtly. Initially, the hot water wasn't working, but it was quickly remedied. From the photos, we mistakenly assumed it was larger as we thought the photos of the couches and entryway were part of the space. They were actually part of the lobby area. Basically, this was a hotel room with the addition of a fridge and coffee maker as amenities. While they do offer bikes, it would be better to have a car if you're going to stay here as it's a bit of a drive to get to restaurants and shops, and the neighborhood is dark at night. Soles Mayas offers multiple rooms on Airbnb at multiple prices. I would go for the cheapest one as they were all pretty similar. We went for the most expensive, thinking it would be larger or nicer, and I don't think that was the case. They have created a nice, quiet place to stay, but it is a bit out of the way, and the neighborhood isn't all that nice.

Place is clean and comfortable. A little hidden, but overall I would recommend.

Our stay here was mostly pleasant. The room was nicely decorated and it was clean and comfortable. The balcony overlooking the pool/courtyard is a nice feature. The only downside while we were there was that there was construction work going on and the loud hammering woke us up. We are pretty late sleepers while on vacation which is why it was an issue for us, but it might not be for other early risers.
