This is a vintage style room in Sham Shui Po. The mosaic of the floor is very typical of the family in the 70's. I like it so much and hope you like it too. I want to share this old memory with my guests.
Just besides the room is a small balcony and a kitchen which supports simple activities such as boiling water and making cup noodles.
The is wifi of course and I'll let the photos describe the room.
This is a room in a home-style hostel. The kitchen, toilet and balcony are shared with other guests. A chest of drawers with locks is there to store valuables.
This room is inside an old building. No lift. But only walk up 2 floors. Easy. The stairs are OK neat, don't' worry.
This room is silent both day and night.
The room is in Sham Shui Po area. Walking to the metro station takes about 8 minutes. When you walk you will pass through a lot of shops, restaurants, and hawkers, selling a variety of stuff an cheap prices. You can find great things, just to pay more attention and be patient. Bargain is fun. Also there are good food to eat.
It is only a few stations away from major tourist areas such as Mongkok and Tsim Sha Tsui. Traffic is very good. Buses and mini-buses are only downstairs.
I don't stay in the room and I live a few mtr stations away. Sometimes not easy to meet face to face. I have a helper in the area and I am responsive by phone or internet.
A single room, one bunk bed in the middle of the concrete jungle. Worked for me because I only needed a place to sleep in between flights, I am from hk also so I know what to expect and finding the place was easy.
If you are like me or you are in a game show or looking for ways to torching yourself, great.
But if you are visiting hk and trying to get budget accommodation, go to a proper inn/hostel/hotel.
Easy to communicate with, great location, close to MTR, restaurants and tons of shops-particularly the electronics section as that is where the area is known for.
Will book again for sure. Its affordable and the apartment is quite large for HK standards. Clean, quiet, and if you love the old HK style look, its got that for you as well.
Wifi works great, shower is great, place to hang clothes even.
Great communication via email and in person. The apartment was as shown. Good location with easy access to the MTR. Shops, restaurants, etc. all around.
Everything worked well!
it's really nice !steve is a good host.the house is very close to the subway (email hidden)o different roommate encountered during my traveling, are very nice person. The house is comfortable, it was cleaned every day.
Nice place. The apartment location is great, there is a night market nearby to buy gadgets and food, buses at the door and subway stations 5 min. away
The place is not too big but well decorated and clean. Great experience overall.
I will definitely come back next time I pass by HK

what you see in the pictures is what you get.
only maybe you might not imagine how cramp the place is
but it's hong kong, what do you expect?
i used to watch hong kong drama during my childhood
the chance to lives in this vintage apartment really bring back memories
and i can easily relate with locals especially when we're having drinks at the balcony
we didn't meet steve but he's very responsive.
the internet speed is fast.
all amenities & facilities is working fine.
love the washing machine, extension plug and the futon!
the walking to the mrt station is fun
as you'll pass by vendors by the street
we also discover that exit A from Sham Sui Po station is nearer to steve's place.
when we check in, we're the only occupant
we were surprise on the 3rd morning when there's someone else in the apartment
would appreciate if steve acknowledge us of his arrival.

My stay in Steve's Apartment was ok. The place was easy to reach.
Good place to stay.
Access to all things I need.
Great free internet wifi speed.
No bed bugs, which is my number 1 concern everywhere I stay --- 5 star or no star --- because I am kind of sensitive to bed bugs.
Nice smell of pillow. I wonder what detergent he uses.
Would come back to stay next time I am back in Hong Kong.
Found a HK$20 haircut place nearby. Probably cheapest haircut in Hong Kong.
Never saw Steve but he seems a cool guy.
Really a good and cheap place to stay in HK. You get what you pay for. Even free WiFi. Good located on the red subway line.
