Great place to stay in Kyoto, just a few steps from metro stops and 10mins walking to many restaurant a. The apartment is little but comfy. Recommended
Good communication with the host, great location.
Within walking distance to the subway (~5 minutes), tram (~10 minutes), buses (2-5min), and the main nightlife area (~20min). Convenience store and a supermarket nearby as well as a Starbucks, and lots of little eateries and local bars serving till very late-night.
It's a generally quiet centrally located neighborhood.
The room itself isn't much, but it has most of the basics you'll need. There are some small quirks here and there, but overall satisfactory.
In sum - good value for money.
Hana's airbnb is a great base for any trip to Kyoto. Not knowing a thing about Kyoto's geography when I booked, I couldn't have been happier with the location after a few days exploring—from here it's easy to get to any of Kyoto's staggering number of historical sites via public transportation, yet you're also right in the middle of a charming neighborhood with fantastic restaurants, bars, and a coffee / café culture that gives Brooklyn a run for its money...
The apartment is small but exceptionally clean, and comfortably sleeps two in separate beds. In all: highly recommended.
Great location! Very close to metro station and just few stops away from Kyoto station. Easily see convenient stores and super market around the corner.
Convenient, clean and exactly what we needed during our stay. A short walk from many amenities and restaurants. Would stay here again.
We were a party of 2 ladies and stayed for 3 nights. This apartment, though compact really has everything at our fingertips. Everything works. There are plenty of linens, tp, shampoos and stuff. And the place is really really clean which we appreciate greatly. We liked the neighborhood a lot. (note, the corner ramen shop is awesome.)
Hana communicated with us as to which ATM machines will accept our foreign debit card and where to buy a 3 to 2 prong adaptor.
Great light from the apartment and it cools so quickly with the air conditioning because of the size. Really enjoyed the experience. Hana is a helpful and communicative host. We highly recommend this!
Hana's place was small but extremely clean, with comfortable beds, in a fantastic location and very quiet. Her instructions of where the place was and prompt replies to our questions made for smooth sailing.
My husband and I stayed at Hana's apartment the first week of May and it was a very quiet and well located place. Although at the beginning you may think it is a bit small in fact you soon realice that you don't really need anything else because it has everything: equipped kitchen, spacious bath, really confortable mattresses and a balcony from were you can see the neighborhood. It is located a few blocs from the subway and very interesting places like the Imperial Palace, also well communicated with lines of buses. About Hana, she was very kind from the beginning, gave us very detailed and useful instructions about how to get to her apartment, use the air conditioner or to separate the garbage, all to make our staying the best. Definitely I would stay again in her apparent when I come back to this great country.
Hello airnbnb community!
I only have good things to say about this apartment and the hostess!
Our party consists of 2 adults and 1.5 year old baby. Plus 6 pieces of luggage (medium to big). We stayed in Hana's apartment for 2 weeks.
Location: Prime, central Kyoto. So easy to go anywhere! Either for cultural visits or shopping. Walking distance to Nijo castle and Shijo-dori shopping district. The neighbourhood is so quiet and peaceful, and you cannot even hear one dog barking! So easy to get a taxi too. Just wait in front of the apartment for 60 seconds, and voila a taxi will appear!
Apartment: Cosy, adequately sized apartment that is perfect for a party of 2 and a half. Fully equipped kitchen and coin laundry on the ground floor. And we love the japanese bath tub, especially our baby! The room is very clean and there are plenty of linens if you need to change the duvet or towels regularly. We place our luggage in the balcony to optimise the space in the room. And a vacuum cleaner so that you can keep the carpets clean daily.
Hostess: I cannot ask for a greater hostess! Our daughter was sick and needs to see the doctor immediately, and Hana arranged everything for us! From the taxi (to and fro) to the doctor's appointment. We went to a nearby clinic to see an English speaking doctor. And 2 days after that, our daughter's condition worsened, and Hana arranged an appointment with the paediatrician in the Red Cross Hospital. We did the whole lot: blood test, X-ray and influenza test and it turns out our daughter had only a mild chest infection! By the way, the hospital is so advanced! We got the test results after 15 minutes! Since we don't speak any Japanese, Hana was our translator - all the way ..thru the phone!
I would also like to take this opportunity to offer our greatest gratitude to Hana for being such a great & attentive host. Having to experience a true Japanese hospitality first hand, is very special experience to us!
Overall: 100% satisfied!
Apartment located in the heart of Kyoto, close to 2 metro lines and 5min walk from Nijo Castle. The apartment is very clean, by cons it is a bit small, a parameter to take into account, there is space for 2 foldable beds only. This is fine if you only wish to sleep in the apartment. Our host was very nice and takes good care of the management of his apartment, everything is well thought out.
